Went for two weeks, returned 5thOct.
Wow! We really enjoyed our stay at these apartments!
Mamouzelos Apartments seem to crop up on www.cheapholidaybargains.co.uk. I've just been on the site and seen 2 weeks July for £378.
Booked to stay here based on comments from this site as apartments were between tour operators and not featured in Olympic brochure. So glad we did, we had a 2 bedroom apartment and a 2 bed studio between the 6 of us and they were basic but spacious. Shower had its own base and curtain and plenty hot water (not that we needed it - got back this morning and average temp all last week was 35 degrees phew!) Not sure I agree with the comments about noise on supermarket side - we were straight across from supermarket and heard nothing from either tourists or scooters. Also no probs for any of us with mossies - we did have plug in thingy in rooms though.
Went to the Mamouzelos in July 2005.
went there for a week and in all fairness the fella did moan alot... but i dont blame him seen as though we did try are best to get deported, he did threaten to throw us out on our a**e so many times, but other than that the sheets, pillows and towels didnt get changed at any point within that week the "free pool" at the end of the road wasnt that free! not to mention the lovely views... the owners family house and their jungle/garden thing. it was nice and quiet the majority of the time. the only good thing was that it was really close to the clubs and shops it was superb!
ive just got back from kos today .8/6/2005
Just returned (11/05/05). Very clean, handy for the beach, about 5mins walk. Close enough to the bars etc but far enough away not to disturb you. Leftis, the owner, always friendly and helpful. Would definitley recomend.
We stayed here in October 2004, wish I was still there, only been back a week and it seems like I’ve been back a year.
These apartments were very good, spacious with a large wardrobe and balcony. Three beds not the usual two and a fold out settee.
They were cleaned every other day but Sunday and sheets and towels changed weekly. Safety Deposit box in every room and only 30 euros for the week.
About 5 three minutes walk from the cocktails and dreams end of the resort, which is the quieter end.
Close to restaurants, bars and shops, but far enough away that they don’t become a nuisance.
Leftis, the owner, was a good bloke, always ready to help out with an extra blanket or pillow when needed, well it does get cold at night in October. You get as good an exchange rate at the apartments as anywhere in town, so didn’t have to carry passport around all the time to change traveller’s cheques.
Spent many a dawn hour between one and three drinking in the bar after the missus and stepdaughter had gone to bed.
Anyone who wants to stay here in the future, please note that he is now ditching Manos and going with Argo Holidays.
The apartments are very good by greek standard which are usually quite small. We had a studio for 3 which was quite large, kitchenette was basic but did the job + kettle. Bath room was clean and the shower had a curtain which seems to be a luxury in Greece!
Leftis the owner was a nice bloke - always saying hello and asking how we were, we had a good few drinks in the little bar before going out for the night. Rooms where swept and bins emptied on Thurs & Tuesdays and clean linen each week.
Only draw back was the side of the building we were on was VERY noisey at night - people coming home from the clubs wasn't too bad but the coaches all seemed to stop outside and the scooters all night too - didn't bother our 2yr old but we didn't sleep too well some nights.
Only short walking distance from the bars, but even closer to the beach - all in all a good apartments shame about the noise.
I stopped at these apartments for a lads holiday last year. We found the owners very friendly and the apartments to be very clean when we arrived. The maid came everyday and made sure everything was fine. I dont think you will be dissapointed and wish you a good holiday. pho3nix_01@hotmail.com
Hi - would like some more info - we are going in August 2004(9 of us) and would like to hear from anyone who has stayed there recently - there are a couple of children in our party, what are the rooms like?(we have a 3 bed studio) - Thanks!
Me and my girlfriend stayed their last year and a fantastic time, the best hol we had both ever had! Kardamena itself is a fantastic place with the perfect mix of age groups both young to middle aged and the perfect mix of light to crazy entertainment on a night.
Lef tis who ran the appartment with his brother migellis was the perfect gent and one of the funniest nicest men I had ever met.
We will def be going back next year as we bort a house this year.
