Aegean Village Hotel

Accommodation in Kardamena

To start, there was this amazing girl there, didnt know her name or nothing, plus the face I didnt pluck up enough courage to talk to her  If she ever reads this, I was the boy that kept looking at you, I was with my dad and my little sister and you where with your mum and dad. Just to let you know ( if you read this ) you wore the sunglasses on your head , lol! No offence. If you do read this, add me on my msn - mad_myles@hotmail.com pleaseeeee

Besides that, the hotel was amazing, apart from the food which was dissapointing, not much variety and not much for young kids.
The rooms are OK, the maids are good at their job. The animation team where good and funny, all the children enjoyed themselves, my sister couldnt get enough!
Overall, the hotel, I would rate 8/10, and the girl, 10/10

Thanks,
Myles

ILL BE BACK!

WE stayed here 25/5/06 to 8/6/06.We were in room 351 so a bit noisy.Food good but would have been better with more choice.Rooms were clean and staff were brilliant.Just wish there was more to do in the evenings in the hotel.

First went to the Aegean Village in October 2005 with my son and liked it and Kardamena so much went back again.  Got back 3 days ago and I'm missing it so much.  The Hotel is beautiful and the Staff fantastic, they even remembered me from last year!  The food however was not so good, but according to the Chef it's what the tourists want, just not me or anyone I know!!  The entertainment team this year are exceptioanlly nice and represent most of Europe.  If anyone's going there this year Mia loves being thrown in the pool, preferably fully clothed!  Their night time entertainment can be a bit of hit and miss but we did see one brilliant show involving Marco using Mia as a selection of musical instruments.

The town centre which is a short walk away is extremely lively and of an evening you have to run the gauntlet of young brits vying for Pole Position on the most popular bar.  It can be a tad annoying for the older generation but it's all a blast for the 18-30s or those young at heart. be aware that you pay for long drinks but the shots are free, especially in 1960 and Stone Roses down at the square.  However, if you're in 1960 don't get George to serve you or you'll still be waiting for your drinks when the planes about to take off for home!

The best cocktail bar in Kadamena is Calypso, along the strip.  If you go there say hello to Elias and tell him I'll be back soon for more Sex on the Beach!

Enjoy your stay and if at the Aegean Village the first set of tables in the restuarant are served by Yianni.  He forgot to say good bye to me before I left so tell him if I'm not back before the end of the season I'll send him a bottle of my perfume "Far and Away" to remember me by!SmileTongue

The Aegean Village is a family run business and is located just outside ( walking distance) of Kardemena Village, which has many many restaurants and Bars, good restaurants include NEMOS and CAMELOT, and very accessible to the Airport ( approx 10 mins!). Most of the apartments are lovely there are one or two ground floor ones that are a little small and dark. Was first booked into one of these, but were moved as we were not happy and had asked for Balcony. Staff most helpful and friendly. Swimming Pool area wonderful and own beach, with water sports, although you do have to pay for sunbeds there. They do have their own aniamtion Team who were excellent throughout the day with various activities around the pool for children and adults, HOWEVER their evening entertainment was absolutely awful, especially for adults.  We have never seen anything so terrible and unprofessional!! Team leader was the worst offender, he thought he was brilliant...If you want a good laugh please do go along....its an experience you will not forget! But go with an open mind, and you wont then be too shocked. Costumes were out of this world, (literally), not one singer amongst them, and dancing basic. I suggest you visit Kardemena in the evenings for entertainment! Many of us staying at the time were horrid at just HOW bad it was, yet the surroundings and facilities are there, just need a good person to organise a good evening entertainment programme

My wife and I have just come back from a week's stay.
Extremely hot, very clean hotel. It has the biggest pool I have ever seen in a hotel/complex.
Something going on all day although the 'animation' team can be quite annoying with their 'jobsworth' idle chats.
beach ok, could be much beter if cleaned and raked on a daily basis.  Sea extemely safe and very clear.
Food ok but very repetitive and lacked innovation - had a couple of issues with a particular waiter so just move to aother area of the restaurant to avoid him, others excellent.
Hotel beautifully set on a hillock

We stayed here last week. We thought the hotel was great - air conditioning, sea view from room, and extremely helpful and friendly receptionists. However, we did have a really bad experience - when choosing what to wear one morining, my boyfriend noticed bleach stains on three of his t-shirts which must have been from where the chambermaid had splashed some when cleaning the room. We spoke to the manager and asked if he could take some money off the room as a form of compensation. To our amazement he accused us of spilling the bleach ourselves, just to get money off the room! For this reason, I wouldn't go back there.

We stayed at the Aegean Village June 2004 and we are going back June 2005.  We loved it.  We found everybody so friendly and helpful.  Room was very nice with good airconditioning, a television, very clean couldn't fault it.  The only problem that could put some people off is the steep climb to the rooms.  There are a minibuses that work 24/7 so normally not a problem.  If you are higher up the views are just amazing.  Would recommend this hotel to most people.  The website address is www.aegeanvillage.com.

went to hotel last week of october 2004, found the hotel very quite, as expected, which is what like. Staff, hotel and food, were excellent, would highly recommend, and would love to stay again sometime.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a two week holiday staying at the Aegean Village Hotel. We both had a lovely time. Had a few problems with the attitude of the staff in the restaurant on a few occasions so be careful! The maids are excellent and the rooms kept very clean. Food gets very boring after two weeks. We ate out for most of the second week. Recommend a restaurant called Camelot in Kardemena. Its also cheaper to drink out than it is around the hotel and if you want to do any trips them too are cheaper if you go into kardemena to book them.

Me and my friend loved it here. We were really lucky cos we got a disabled access room right at the bottom of the hill, and close to the pool and the restaurant. Wouldn't have liked to have to trek up the hill much in that heat! A pleasant 15 min stroll from the hotel into Kardamena for the nightlife (which was pretty quiet this year for some reason) - or a cheap taxi ride away when you're feeling lazy. Good food, only trouble was that we only made it for breakfast 2 days out of 7 cos we were usually still recovering in bed from the night before....

I went to this hotel in august 2003 and it was great everyone was friendly and willing to chat, the food was good apart from if u go for a 2 weeks the sencond week everything is the same. the night entertainment is fab they have lots of things for the kids and pleanty for the adults. but if u get board of staying on the hotel site then it is 5 minutes work for the town centre or a taxi is cheap if u get lazy like me, lol

Aegean village hotel is fab if you want to make a phone call back home ...no probs... if you want to watch eastenders (in th biggest telly lounge i have seen!)...no problem...wanna shoot pool...table tennis...have a lunchtime barbe-cue?..go swimming indoor or out...hire a moped/car/bike/cycle...get a lift to your hotel room and down to the reception ..have breakfast outside with beautiful birds singing?...have a meal with acres of food to choose from (no chance of food poisoning!)..stroll down to the beach (2mins from hotel)..to watch the boats come in and watch the sunset....watch satelite telly in your rooms with air conditioning and a fridge?....maid service everyday...veranda or balcony with sea view?..... did i say friendly customer service and free calls to your holiday agent ...aegean village is it! heavy! Kev and chan July 19th 2003 the best time!

Well what can I say about Kos and Aegean... simply fab! We really enjoyed it. I took my boyfriend there for a surprise birthday trip..and it was over my expectation the hotel service, food and apartment was brilliant. The weather was gorgeous! We hired a moped for 4 days which is essential in that heat, it took us to the local town where you could by additional groceries like soft drinks ice creams and lilo pads for the huge pool. We went all over, it's so safe! On his birthday my boyfriend recieved a massive complimentary bottle of champagne he was so chuffed and we partied the whole night...we went to different clubs where they played r'n'b hip hop house and garage. It has been catered for the British. In the day you can stroll into a bar and sip a cool drink while watching classics like friends or only fools and horses! We went to paradise beach that was brilliant little fishes swimming around your feet, while the sun blazes on your back. my partner and I are both Black, we recieved no hostility, we were treated like stars , everyone thought he was a famous basketball player and kept offering us free drinks!! so funny. The prices are ok probably the same as a london local rate sometimes cheaper. We had so much fun we wil definetley go again- it was more of a couples thing it's lively on a couple of nights but not throughout which is cool if you just want to relax and smooch! There were alot more places to visit but our hotel was great a diffent variety of main dishes and desserts every night- delicious! The local cafes/restaurants were lovely too... I would recommend aegean village hotel to anyone just dont forget to bring a drivers license and be prepared for smiles, fun and laughter!

Hello holidaymakers!!!!,i've just returned from kos and it was lovely! The weather was brill everyday except for one storm. So you want to know about the agean village do you here we go then....
The rooms are spacious clean but basic, the maids are fantastic. The grounds are pretty and well maintained,it's close to an okay beach but you'll do better staying aroung the friendly, clean and refreshing pool! Each day by the pool you are greeted by the animation team who consist of Marco,Eva,Peter, lisa and a few others, they encourage everyone to participate in some great holiday activities!Peter is a great dancer it's worth going to the show in hotel disco to see him!The waiters in the restaurent and in the bar are friendly and funny, but they speak little english, look out for Damyano and Christo they are the best waiters. The food at breakfast and dinner isn't great but it's edible, the same goes for the snack bar.The hotel has a good friendly atmosphere,it's simple clean basic and pretty but not worthy of a 4 star plus rating.I enjoyed i'd go back my family wouldn't it's what you make of it.I recommend bubble beach kos town and the hotels disco!it's such a laugh!
