The BEST  estiatorio in Greece! Just Number One. The people who working there are SUPER !!! I love everyone of them. I miss you so ,but i hope see you soon in Bulgaria . ( i remember) :)Tsambika,Katerina,Sebastian,Maria,Andoni,Dimitris,Thanasi and of course Irini i love you so so so much.You are great.You are the best team and the people see that! Yet again, a glorious fortnight in Kefalos, Kos .

And yet again, even more glorious - the food at Sebastian's .

Looking forward to many wonderful meals here from the end of August. Mouth watering already.

Will be our third visit to Kefalos in 2 years.

 Had several meals here the first two weeks of June, never had a bad one. Portions are very large and food good quality, service excellent. Can recommend the Bouyourdi (not sure of spelling) starter, if you like feta cooked with peppers and garlic and olive oil (now i can taste it).

hi there bein to greece for a few years and will be visitng again this summer and cant wait for it there is a few good restaurants to visit with sebastians having great surrondings its a good place to go altho thought the food was a bit below average, ate other nicer places such as the stop in, scorpios and aussie bbq which were nicer!

A bit of a walk right down close to the harbour but well worth it for the atmosphere and quality of the cooking.  Old mama presides over proceedings in her typical black dress whilst the lads whirl around clearing tables and carrying plates of food.  Excellent food including the ever-present cheese saganaki, crab salad, chicken souvlaki and really good lamb kleftiko, follwed by excellent yoghurt and honey.  Prices very reasonable and house red wine very nice too...

Sebastians special chicken. yum yum and an ice cold Mythos. Unbeatable!!

   This was our second visit back to Kefalos.  We dined 8 out of our 14 nights there.  Tony and staff remebered us from our last time there.  Food is fab, especially the crepes with fresh fruit and ice cream.

back to kefalos and sebastians after a 2 yr break.what can i say apart from everything back to the usual excellence.

Sorry but thought Sebastians had lost their magic this year, after vivisting at least twice every year for the past eleven yearsa we were disappointed this year.

Fabulous food, nice atmposphere and lovely staff.  Our favourite taverna in Kefalos.

Excellent service - lovely food - very pricey.

was in kefalos last june ,ate at sebastians 8 out of 14 nights never had a bad meal cant wait untill 11 june when we go back again

Good food and very good service, visited it on a couple of occasions.

Loved it. Food & service great went back a second time. Also, they had fresh vegatables instead of the normal frozen rice peas & corn.

My partner and I, Lynne went to Sebastians on the first night of our holiday (15th July 2004) having read comments on this website. What a mistake.We ordered a chicken & pepper sauce with a JP and a Pizza. Neither were partciularly nice. The Pizza was especially poor, the base had clearly been a 'Victoria sponge sandwich' in a previous life. In fairness to the waiter, he did knock the cost of the Pizza off the bill. Strangely enough, we were also asked to keep our cutlery from our starters and use them for the main course. Very strange.We did not revisit Sebastians.

Lovely food and great service. If you are really hungry in the morning try the breakfast. It's massive!

It was great to get back to the Island, and it was also great to be back in Sebatians again. Yet again the food was very good and of course with Toni back as front man again the whole place was buzzing as last year. Baby Irene is the whole village mascot and Toni has no problem proving that, a very proud man.

Have recently returned from Kefalos (2nd June) after a great fortnight. Tried Sebastians on the recommendation of our rep and were delighted. Great place, great staff and excellent food. Many a night couldn't finish our meals. The food was always fresh. We even asked for a dish of fried courgettes with garlic sauce which wasn't on the menu but we had eaten in Crete and they were delighted to cook it for us (twice in fact). I don't know what the problems were at the tail end of last year, but Antonis is there now with his wife and baby. Everyone seemed very happy. There was another great waiter called Illios and a sweet waitress. It was our wedding anniversary whilst there and my husband secretly arranged with Antonis to have a boquet of the most gorgeous flowers waiting for me when we arrived for our meal. Nothing was too much trouble of any of them. If you were disappointed last year, please give them another try, it was the best taverna we found.

Can't wait to try the New Yorker! Will certainly we returning to Sebastians this year - must admit thought something was missing last year - but the boys did work very hard and will certainly return in September

Has anyone been to Sabastians 2004, if so has toni returned yet

After seeing the many excellent recommendations we were eager to try Sebastian’s. Unfortunately we found it to be vastly overrated. The food was overcooked, vegetables were soggy, the wine was poor even by Greek standards and the service was appalling. Fortunately for us we found a number of other excellent restaurants in the resort, Stamatia being by far the best.

An tonis was in Athens fore the birth of irene but he and sebastian had words I think maybe it will be back to normal did no one comment on how well Mixhales was coping .There was too few visitors this summer and everyone was stressed to the max

the guy on the "HARLEY" was manos.he's now a fireman at the airport.
yes we probably have seen each other.i'm usually pushing a wheelchair.
if like us you are there next year be sure to pop into the players lounge.dimitri has worked hard and it really is worth a visit.

Well glad that has been sorted. We wondered wehat had gone wrong in Sebastians. Would not say it was bad, but not anywhere as good as it was. Even the New Yorker has been trimmed down but still only just manageable as there is a lot on the plate. The young waitress we had was a real misery - we tried with her but received nothing but a glare and stony silence!! However, I agree - not as good as it used to be. We wondered where some of the regular guys were. We used to call the head waiter there 'Harley' as he used to ride around on a huge Harley Davison moterbike. We always thought he was Sebastian though!! Just shows you how wrong you can be!! Never made it into Players Lounge so did not see the other guy in there. Will Toni be coming back from Athens do you know or has he moved out there with his wife and family??? Looks like we were in Kef same time as you both - AGAIN!!!! 1st Oct - 15th Oct. Probably seen you around and not known, you do tend to see the same faces year after year don't you, this is our ninth trip!

Yes we were also there last week also, it has changed for the worse.
Dimitri is now the manager of "Players",and Toni is In Athens.

JUST GOT BACK FROM OUR EIGTH VISIT TO KEFALOS.WE HAVE ALWAYS RAVED ABOUT AND RECOMMENDED SEBASTIANS AS A GOOD PLACE TO EAT.THE SERVICE HAS ALWAYS BEEN EXCELLENT THE STAFF FRIENDLY AND THE FOOD SUPERB.
WHAT A SHOCK THIS YEAR!RESTAURANT NEARLY EMPTY.THE FOOD WAS ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS WARM/COLD.THE SERVICE WAS EXTREMELY SLOW.
WE CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT THE CHANGES ARE ATTRIBUTED TO THE FACT THAT ANTONIS,THE HEAD WAITER FOR MANY YEARS AND DIMITRI HIS SECOND IN COMMAND WERE MISSING.
COME BACK TONY SEBASTIANS NEEDS YOU.

If all you want is large protions of fairly ordinary food then this place is for you. There are better restaurants serving better food with better menus, better surroundings and better prices. We ate here three nights out of fourteen until we found Stop Inn; this place is far better then Sebastians..

Got agree with karen lawrence on this one, just returned from kefalos, tried to visit some of the recommended restaurants but sorry Sebastians, I can't agree with your rave reviews. Yes the portions were big but quality & service were just OK for me and not really worth a second visit. The best restaurant we visited (several times)was about 30 yards from Sebastians (off the front) & called Andreas. Now that one DID give you good food, big portions & excellent service.l

We went here after reading the review aswell. The restaurant lived up to the recommendation! Service was fantastic, interior was comfortable and welcoming and the food was something else!!!! We ended up going most nights the food was that good!

we went here after reading the review here prior to our holiday expecting something spectacular. well the meal was good, and it was big ( myself and my sister whom i went on holiday with both had a jacket potato AND chips with our dinner ), but it wasnt the best meal ever. I have definitely had better, and a lot of the other meals I had whilst in Kefalos measured up to it. It is worth a visit but if you go expecting it to be fantastic you might feel let down.

Only ate here once but it was suberb, the 'Greek Lamb Hotpot' was the most superbly cooked lamb i have ever tasted, just melted in the mouth, and it was very reasonably priced considering the lovely location. Try it.

This restaurant is fantastic. Right on the seafront and the portions are huge. You must try the pork chop, I didn't know pigs got that big! The food was delicious.

Probably the best in Kefalos, the food was superb, the waiters and service excellent, and very competitive priced. Be sure to give it a try.

Could anybody tell me what the prices are like in Kefalos for food and drink etc.

Family run restaurant overlooking kamari bay (6mtrs to the sea)wondeful welcome here by the most professional waiters in the resort if it's not on the menu then ask easily the busiest establihment in the resort wide and varied no holds barred menu , here what you see is what you get if its in season then its fresh well priced suitable for large family groups. all tastes catered for only problem somtimes dificult to find empty table due to popularity. Gauranteed enjoymet at affordable prices .Tell Antonis the big man sent you. ENJOY

We found this place the 2nd night of our holiday - we were treated with the warmest of welcomes and the food was some of the best we have every had in Greece on our 15 visits over the years. The waiters were fantastic, the food was unbelivable, the size of the portions are huge " the fish platter" had half the days catch on it.
I could barely move for days afterwards, when I lay on the beach the next day someone tried to harpoon me.

My Parents have been many times to Sebastians, when they have stayed in Kefalos. I must say when i went it was some of the best food, i had ever tasted!. I would highly recommend Sebastians, to anyone who was thinking of going to Kefalos. The sword fish i ate at Sebastians is the best i have tasted anywhere.

Easily the best food I have ever tasted! Stayed in Kefalos for a week and ate in Sebastians 6 times. Staff were great, food was the best and soooooo cheap. I tried several different dishes and all were amazing. Huge Portions!! 12/10

The food was edible, but not very nice. I don't now where the people who've given rave revues usually eat, but this is not an excellent restaurant.

We came across Sebastians on the second night of our two week stay . . . and went back at least nine times afterwards! The staff were all so friendly, making us feel right at home, especially Tony, one of the finest waiters you'll ever meet. Just ask for the White Snapper fish, a treat in itself, and ask him to fillet it for you, he'll do it right there in front of you and it's so impressive to watch! The menu is extensive, there's a massive range of choice that should satisfy everyone, and the wine list is good too, we particularly liked Caviros White. Without doubt, the best place to eat in Kefalos, we wish we were still there!!!

theres nothing really to say the place speaks for itself never in my life have i had service, food,and where the drinks flow freely and to top the night a lift home SUPERB

Sebastians by the Harbour. Fantastic food,service and price. Brandy on the house after a good meal. And they remember you from last year.
