We stayed at the Stamatia apartments at the beginning of august 2003. As we booked just a week and a half in advance we had no idea what to expect, however when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with out apartment. It was very clean and roomy with simple furnishing, and a 5-10 minute walk from the beach and the bars. The only criticism I have of these apartments is the noise. There was no noise from traffic as the apartments are situated away from the main road, however the people who own the apartments were quite noisy at times ( we were on the ground floor, right next the the part of the building that they accommodated). This did not trouble us too much, however at times it really was quite loud, especially when the children were still playing at 10pm at night.
wonder why this place has such a low points score. i had a lovely chocolate and cherry crepe here, very big, I couldnt eat all of it. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
we went here after reading the review here prior to our holiday expecting something spectacular. well the meal was good, and it was big ( myself and my sister whom i went on holiday with both had a jacket potato AND chips with our dinner ), but it wasnt the best meal ever. I have definitely had better, and a lot of the other meals I had whilst in Kefalos measured up to it. It is worth a visit but if you go expecting it to be fantastic you might feel let down.
we had a lovely meal here the last night of our holiday. We were certainly not disappointed with this restaurant. The service here was some of the best we encountered during our saty in Kefalos.
we enjoyed our meal here and feel that some of the less positive comments are a little unfair. our food was tasty. it wasnt the largest portions ( but then ever here in the uk portions in chinese restaurants tend to be smaller then in other places ) but still it fulfilled all of our expectations.
we got a coach to kos town via our travel reps ( golden sun ) from kefalos. we only really went on the trip because it was cheap and we were keen to visit as many places as possible, but we had a lovely day. We had a little trouble finding all of the shops at first ( we went the wrong way! ) but eventually found all of the little back streets which were very pretty and all seemed to lead onto eachother. we did get a bit lost once or twice but ended up sopmewhere we recognised after a while! we were also interested in the history of kos. there are a lot of historical sites around, we explored the ancient agora, and enjoyed this as much as shopping in kos. we could have done with having a map of kos town before our visit tho. after we realised that there was a lot more to see then we realised.
