Excellent hotel..it's all been said before...very clean, quiet and welcoming. Ideal situation.  Close to excellent taverna - 'GALINI' where George and his wife Frosini will give you a very warm welcome - superb menu and very good value for money - have tried most of the restaurants but this one is our favourite and we just keep going back!

We stayed at the Kamari Bay hotel in May 04,and found it to be a lovely hotel, with friendly staff and Yanni the owner goes out of his way to make you welcome. We are going back there on 28 sept, and this will be our fourth time to Kefalos. There are plenty of bars to suit everyone's taste. Loads of good restuarants too.

We have just returned after 2 weeks at Kamari Bay It was wonderful. This is our 6th time and each time

It gets better. The hotel bedrooms have recently been refurbished and they really are lovely they

Have new beds and plenty of storage space. TheStaffs are all friendly and nothing is too much

trouble. The rooms are cleaned daily and you have clean sheets and towels everyday. Yannis (owner)

is always friendly and willing to help in anyway.Tony (barman) what can I say about Tony he is the

best barman I have known and he mixes a great Cocktail. He always remembers what you drink

and what your name is. You can drink all night if you want to as there is always someone there to

serve you. It is nicely situated near the beach, bars and taverna’s  there are many tavernas’s. You always

have your favourites and some you wouldn’t go back to. Over the years we have made many

friends and when you go back it is like a family reunion.I am hoping to go back in Sept. this year it is just a matter of persuading my other half that we need to go back only visiting once a year is not enough. If you’ve not been before give it a try and you wont regret it.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a two week holiday basted in Kefalos staying at the Kamari bay, like others have said the breakfast was basic! the only change is a little cake on Sunday but still served with butter and jam, Oh yeah!Wednesday they serve a sort of dough bread with nuts! which was alittle puzzling to us as we are both extremely allergic to nuts, but it was a picture to see the look on the lady's face serving us when we said we couldn't eat it (shear bewilderment, then disgust,  HAHAHA!!) we we're at least given yesterdays scraps (Stale bread roll) nice!

Rooms cleaned daily, bless em' they used to shape my girlfriends PJ's in the same shape as the sheets when they cleaned the rooms, Double bless!

The only upset was (when thinking of it probably not all that and just me) when I learned about the attacks in London, I dashed from the pool side (Dry as Hadn't been swimming) to watch the TV by the bar.  just standing there watching in horror as the areas I closely work in, a large lady from reception came storming up to me shouting that I have to go out and put a t-shirt on if I want to be in the TV area!!  obviously she  couldn't see how upset I was and the people around the TV to see that it wasn't the time and place to have a go at someone that didn't have a T-shirt on! but hay maybe it's just me!

For Milkshake Lovers out there my girlfriend (milkshake nut!) tried allot of places and the best in Kefalos is Maria Bar a few doors down from the Jewelery shop along by the harbor.

Oh one last thing,  to anyone going out there! if you see a dog with slight limp and a multi color rope collar, by some hot dogs in a can, she loves em', feed the cats if ya can as the cats and dogs are mostly female and just trying to feed the pups and kittens - thanks!!!

Sorry dave but yiannis hasn't built a hotel their, are four shops their and they have private apartments on top of them.

For Jenny: I think you'll find it just fine! There is a night club along the main road, loads of bars - some with karaoke - brilliant beach with jet skis, do'nuts (ha! they didn't manage to get ME out of mine - even though they tried hard!!!) wind-surfing etc. Take the speed boat to bubble beach and you'll find a natural jacuzzi due to the volcano of Nissiros (the island you can see from the beach) Hire a car and go into the mountains or find the Plaka forest. It's a wonderful island - you'll love it - promise!!!

Dave W

Does anyone know what the name of Yiannis' other hotel (opposite the bus stop)? We've been to Kamari Bay 6 times and the new one was being built the last time we were there - but we haven't been able to get back to Kos due to the fact that we have 3 children and rooms are not big enough! The new hotel was being built for families so would probably suit us fine!! Thanks in advance.

This is for Jenny who is going to Kamari Bay in Oct. The resort is lovely and the people are very friendly but for young people there is not a lot to do there are only a couple of night clubs, plenty of bars but in October everything is closing down for the winter. We have been going there for 5 years and love it. If you want any more info I will be only to happy to help you

Jenny M

Myself and my Boyfriend are planning on visiting the kamari bay in October. we want to no what it is like for people aged 18-25? can u help? were worried thet there isn't going to be enough for young people to do!!!

Just got back from this hotel. Don't be expecting a hearty breakfast at the Kamari Bay Hotel.....it aint gonna happen. Now if Jam Rolls are your thing then you are in luck...and if you like your butter on the rancid side, again, the Kamari Bay is for you. Very friendly staff, rooms cleaned and beds/towels changed daily. Handy for the beach but I can't see why people go back year on year. Just average all round for me.

Pauline F

My daughter and I have just returned (Oct2004)from Kamari Bay hotel. This was our second visit this year. We are intending to return next year without fail. Yiannis,Tony,Irene and all staff make everyones visit a happy one. cleanliness is next to none. well done everyone.

Andrew R

Great hotel set right in the centre of the resort, with easy access to either the main road or the harbour road.
Always find all the staff friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very well kept.
Always made welcome by Yannis and Tony, and never cease to be amazed by the sheer number of repeat visitors we meet year after year.
Plans are to have air-conditioning put in for 2005.

Jenny N

My partner & I have been going to Kamari Bay Hotel for the last 4 years & this year we went in July and are going back again in 2 weeks time we can't wait. The hotel is clean and very friendly Yannis & Tony are brilliant and you'd never meet another barman like Tony. We have made many friends who like ourselves go back year after year. There are many bars & tavernas all of which are resonably priced.Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff if you stay there once you will want to go back again & again.

Jen M

My partner Lawrie and I spent 2 fantastic weeks at Kamari Bay in July. The hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are really comfortable, the pool was lovely and all the staff were really friendly. The rooms don't have air conditioning but you can hire a fan from reception. They do have safety deposit boxes and you can get one of these for 8 Euros a week. Tony behind the bar and Yannis the owner are sure to give you a friendly welcome and some great banter! We'll definitely be going back!!

I am staying at the Kamari Bay Hotel this Saturday 14th August. Does anyone know if there is air conditioning in the rooms, also safe deposit boxes.

Janet S

My friend, Sue, and I have just returned from a very relaxing 7 nights on our first visit to Kos. We found the resort, hotel & holiday all excellent. Hotel staff & other guests were very friendly. As two inexperienced travellers we felt very safe there, unlike our last holiday. Thank you to Yannis & his staff for a very pleasant stay, especially Tony for mixing such good ouzo & lemonades!!! See you again one day.

Ronnie J

My wife, Dianne and I had a 7 night stay in the Kamari Bay Hotel 5th May to 12th May 2004. The hotel is just the place to relax and unwind. Close to bars, restaurants and the beach but also has an excellent pool and snack bar. We were pleased with everything about the place including ALL staff that we came in contact with, particularly Tony on the bar and Yiannis the BOSS. Even the people staying in the hotel were very friendly, I think mainly because of the atmosphere in the hotel. Can't wait to go back next year

Gordon C

Just to add further weight as to how good Kamari Bay Hotel is, we are going back 19th May for a week, a couple of relatives arrive the week after and further relatives arrive in June and they will be revisiting in September. Other good places to eat, Aussie taverna on main street, The Wave (the owner is related to Yiannis)Kampos taverna and last but not least The Golden fleece down the harbour road. Mikes cafe on main road opposite the junction does a mean full english. If you cannot do without it, visit Harrys for a sunday roast

Gordon C

My wife and I first went 10 years ago on last minute deal, didn't know which hotel until we landed, fell in love with place, Yiannis, made us so welcome the first time, went back with relatives and friends, got to know Irene and Tony, never looked back, hotel is superb as are ALL the staff, Rhula and Christina at the pool bar, even the resaurant owners ie Stop Inn, Tony and Irene have become like family friends. Never tire of going back and seeing so many old faces (customers) who do likewise. Such a wonderful place to unwind and really relax

Anne B

My partner Ian and myself are just back from the Kamari Bay Hotel, had a fabby time, the hotel is so clean and the beds are changed daily,we got a warm welcome, and the staff are so nice, yiannis the owner joins the guests at night for a chat, all huddled round the bar, watchin tony the barman do his THING!..he has to be the coolest barman around. The pool is clean, the pool cafe has good food. The area is quiet and there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The only downside is the breakfast, just a roll and a cuppa!..but theres always a taverna doin english breakfasts...would have no hesitation in staying here again....ten out of ten x

Louise H

We've just returned from our third trip to the Kamari Bay Hotel and will be returning again next year.

The hotel is excellent, as is the location. You are minutes away from the beaches and restaurants (which are excellent too). You are guarenteed a friendly welcome from Yiannis and Tony, who is always on hand to mix you a cocktail or pour you a beer - definatly the best barman on the Island!!

Go see for yourself and enjoy the nightly banter at the bar!!
