Stamatia Apartments
Accommodation in Kefalos
We stayed for one week in one of the Stamatia apartments on the top floor, which offered amazing views of the beach and surrounding Kefalos.
The apartments are set off the main road of Kefalos, up a small, gradual hill setting it 5-10 minutes away from the beach, restaurants and bars. This is a bonus as some bars can be quite noisy at night on the main road. Locals' scooters and coaches can be heard still; however doors can be shut to reduce noise.
The apartment itself was very light, clean and spacious, however simple as are all Greek apartments. Large sliding doors open out onto a balcony, with shutters and a net curtain to provide some privacy.
Our room was equipped with adequate cooking utensils; however we didn't do any cooking.
All apartments are cleaned 3 times weekly, with towels and bedding changed twice a week.
The apartments don't have direct access to a swimming pool, however First Choice organised use of a local hotel pool. This is just a small 3 minute walk down the road.
On departure, we had to leave our luggage with the owners of the apartments as our flight was not until 4.30 the following morning. We had to leave the room by 12

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Kefalos, staying in the Stamatia appartments. The appartments are situated just off the main road a little way up the hill leading to the main Kefalos village, and are very well maintained by the owners who are always very freindly and welcoming. The apparments are fairly basic(as are most in Greece) but are kept very clean and tidy. We were on the third floor which gave us a fantastic view of the bay and the surrounding area. The only problem we found was that although the appartments are situated away from the road being on the third floor we did suffer from a lot of road noise at night(due to most of the Greek vehicles seemingly not having silencers) but this did seem to die off by about 1AM
- UK We stayed at the Stamatia apartments at the beginning of august 2003. As we booked just a week and a half in advance we had no idea what to expect, however when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with out apartment. It was very clean and roomy with simple furnishing, and a 5-10 minute walk from the beach and the bars. The only criticism I have of these apartments is the noise. There was no noise from traffic as the apartments are situated away from the main road, however the people who own the apartments were quite noisy at times ( we were on the ground floor, right next the the part of the building that they accommodated). This did not trouble us too much, however at times it really was quite loud, especially when the children were still playing at 10pm at night.

Gerry B My husband and I are booked for the Golden apartments in Kefelos for October this year. Apart from basic comments given over the phone by Fasttrack holidays, I can find no info on these studios. This will be an short, extra holiday for us but I would like to know more. Anyone out there know anything about them?
- UK My partner and I have just returned from one of the best holidays we have ever had whilst staying in Kefalos. The Apartments are set away from the main road and are very quiet. We used the pool and facilities at the neighbouring Andreas Pool and their hospitality was fantastic. We would highly recommend Sebastians Restaurant and The Golden Fleece. Excellent meals and friendly people. For long cool drinks on an evening in a relaxed friendly bar we would highly recommend Marias Bar. Its run by two brothers and they make you very welcome. A must for water lovers, jet ski-ing and parascending!!!! A first for me and I loved it. A Very relaxing and chilled out holiday and would highly recommend Kefalos and the Stamatia Apartments.
