Tingaki beach was so good we didnt really bother to look around, there were loads of sunbeds to hire, we used the mascot section and the man that runs them is very friendly. The water is very clear and you can swim quite far out before it actually gets deep because of the sand shelves. The only down point was on an couple of days the wind really picked up and literally threw sand at you so we unfortunatly had to retreat to our pool at the marianna studios. Anyway this beach is suitable for all and you will have a great time here.
kos is absolutely awsome!!!! been there for 4 years in a row now!!!! whent there for 6 weeks this year, will be going there agian next year for 5months to work because it is so good!!!! dont know what you have missed until you been ere!!!!! love you loads ilias and victor!!!!! see you both soon love you loads shelley and louise xxx
Just got back from an amazing holiday to Tigaki. Missing it so much already! Have to say that Tigaki beach was one of the best i saw on the island. It was lovely and sandy and was very spacious. I recommend to get your sunbeds by the Plori Beach Water Sports as it works out cheaper on water sports if u use their sunbeds and the people who work there are really great. Big Hello to Alan, Demetri, George and the Albanian Chap! Thank you also for letting us advertise your watersports! heehee! Take Care All and You'll definately be seeing us next year!! Lotsa Love Stacey, Lauren and Graeme, Diane and Ashley. Swansea/Wales
Tingaki beach was amazing! Long sandy beach with gorgeous clear water. Sun loungers stretch along the beach, some areas more expensive than others. I recommend paying for the sun loungers next to the Plori Water Sports Centre, as you will then receive a 20% discount on all water sports, plus discount in the restaurant directly behind it. Alan, the guy who runs it, is really nice and friendly, and the restaurant was the best one we ate in all holiday. Their fish are all caught fresh from the sea on a daily basis. It really was superb! All water sports completely safe, with life jackets provided. (compulsary on all rides). Plenty of small shops set back from the beach, so can buy cold bottled water throughout the day.
Nicest beach i've been on in years, would recommend it to anybody! Already booked to return next year!

We thought this was one of the best beaches on the island and we visited several including Paradise Beach although the watersports were quite expensive here and thought that Kos Town Beach watersports were a lot cheaper but the sand there is shingle ugh !!!
Walked along beach to left of sunbeds ,was bliss ! Quiet and uncrowded..Take parasol and plenty of water..gets really hot.Wind can be strong so be careful you don't burn by accident.Plenty of other naturists to keep you company while you get your bits brown !!We loved it here !!
Great for either a day or your whole holidays. If there is a breeze make sure you don't burn as this is easy to do. The sea gently shelves out however it can get quite choppy all depending on how strong the breeze is. Don't be put off by the breeze as it is a god send at times. The sand is corse and gets very hot indeed. There are many places along the beach for you to have a shower or to wash your feet. Be careful as you will find if the hose pipe for washing your feet is quite long then the water that has been lying inside it gets to reach boiling point, as I discovered when I burnt my feet under it. So let the water run for a minute until it runs cold. The top end of the beach towards the salt lakes is a nudist beach so be careful how far you wander if your not into this, it can be embarassing as my husband discovered, he told me that he had just seen his grandmother naked on the beach and was now feeling quite ill.
Amazing Beach!! If you see Brad the aussie masseuir have a massage there great!! worth every penny!
excellent
The beaches were very clean and well kept we got back home last week and
we are really missing the beaches and the lovely clear waters
We loved the beach realy nice for evening stroll or lounging all day.
However the watersports are a bit expensive 20 Euro for a pedalo! I don't think so!
Beautiful clean sandy beach & clear water.
Tigaki beach is beautiful, lovely sand and crystal clear water which you can walk out quite far being perfect for small children. Plenty of watersports available, sunbeds and parasols 5-6 euros all day. The wind did pick up in the afternoons making big waves.
Plenty of sunbeds and parasols - 3 euros for day. Sea shallow for quite a way. Can get windy but was a plus point when we visited in August as it was very hot! Must try doughnuts from man on beach - they're excellent for 2 euros.
Beach was good but the sea could me a bit wavy at times, you can walk quite far out as there isn't steps in the sand like I had imagined. Watersports are more expensive here. If you walk up the beach quite far to the right there is a nudist beach if you are into that.
Tigaki beach is very good- long with fine white sand, gently sloping into a warm, clear blue sea. The breeze is pleasant as it takes the heat away a bit, but it can get a little strong at times! We tended to walk to the left along the beach, away from the sweaty sunbeds and get away from the crowds. Especially good if you want an all-over tan!!
This beach was definatley a must visit when we stayed in Tigaki as it had a nice breeze which was nice during the real hot days! the Doughnut men who parade the beach saying "apples, chocolate, vanillia cream and sugar are really quite amusing!
The beach was lovely with white sand and turquoise sea. The sand does get very hot though, my ideal tip is to turn left as you get to the beach and walk 100m past the water sports stand, its very peaceful down this part!
The beach is superb. You can wade out for a good 70 metres and still be able to touch the sea bed. The sand is soft and gets very hot. There are plenty of sunbeds so don't need to rush down to the beach to get one!!
having been to kos 5 times , once stayed in kardamena one on kos town and 3 times in tigaki, feel a bit of an addict! going again this year. if you want a real lazy time with the most perfect white beach and turquoise sea then tigaki is for you. Huge cheap supermarket, fantastic pizza place near and lazy days bar with big mad george is all you need. his donkey called chris lives next to the bar! go up to zia village in the mountains to cool down or kos town to re-energise yourself. you are only 1hour away from turkey so treat yourself to a turkish bath, unbeatable. nissiros the volcanic island is worth a moonlike visit too. get booking now!!!!
great place for a great holiday. plenty of good eateries, especially the tigaki cafe in town square. go up the road a bit towards the mountains and you come to 7 dayz. this place is the absolute dogs bollocks. big george is a geezer. we will be there on 14th aug for a great brekkie and a good laugh.
Wonderful!
the sea was shallow, warm and safe for kids, which is good. no waves, but we really wished that we could of seen more fish!
the best bit of this beach for me was near the salt lakes, just walk right for 10 min. the sea can be like a mill pond 1 day and when the wind picks up it gets choppy which is more fun. watch out for the athens ferry about 10 min after it has passed you get 4 to 5 large waves which wash up the beach past the sun beds taking your shoes bags and whatever eles you have on the sand with it. i only made that mistake once.
very nice clean beach is very safe for children but can be very windy but you need the wind when the weater s hot.Great for watersports.
Hi would just like to know approx how many bars restaurants etc in and around the resort ,it looks a great place to stop for a few weeks so just wondered if there were plenty of places to eat and drink thanks, look forwards to some replys yours dave
me and my boyfriend are going in 3 weeks.would like to know if the beach is ok and is it a good place for watersports.thanks
We go to Greece every year. This is the first time I have been to Tingaki and the beach is the best beach I have saw in Greece. It is a proper sandy beach, like a one you would find in Spain. The water is very very warm and is also very shallow hence very safe for Kids. You also get a nice breeze so the heat is a little bit more bareable.
The beaches vary in sizes, gets narrow towards the appartments i stayed in.But if we walked to the right from our appartment, about half a mile up the coast, the stoney waters gave way to sandy waters.Great the swim in.Its also a nudist part of the beach, and was very isolated in may when i was there.Great news if you just want to chill and bathe. The breeze off the tingaki side of the island makes bathing even better. The waters cold too, takes a bit of getting used to,maybe it warms up in the summer months.
Lovely beach doesn`t get deep for a long way out, no stones just white sand. Sunbeds have thick mattresses and pillows, table and umbrellas for 3 euros per day for 2. Beach toilets are spotless 50 cents. Plenty of tavernas etc. near beach.
We had had our private part of the beach but we walk all the way up its was lovely very good but dont walk near the Salt Lake because the mosquitos theres millions there.
Lovely beach but can get a bit busy. Tip - walk down to the left hand side by Salt Lake if you prefer to sunbathe in peace
