Does anyone know how much the bike hire is for a week? Also has anybody stayed in rena apartments? What's it like?
I will be travelling solo to Kos in September and was wondering how easy it is to visit Lambi from Kos Town where I will be staying.
Look forward to hearing from someone.

Hi, We have been to Kos on serveral occasions. We have stayed in both Tigaki and Lambi.. We now stay at Luca Blue Lagoon Resort in Lambi. Its not too far from Kos Town (about 5 Euros) or a 10 minute Cycle. Its about 20 minute in the other direction if you cycle into Tigaki and the scenery on the way is great - Lots of greenery and there is a brilliant roadside fruit stall on your right from Lambi - Tigaki.. Lambi is inbetween Tigaki and Kos Town.
hello , me and my boyfriend are going to stay in lambi right outside kos town at the end of june for two weeks, we are staying at the sophia aparthotel, and we know we are a minutes walk from the beach, but have no idea what beach it is, it could be kos town beach or lambi beach, if someone could help that would be great!
Just got back from a week staying at the Apollon hotel in Lambi (mid August). My girlfriend and I spent half of our week at Lambi beach and we loved it! The weather was boiling - just what we wanted - and there was never a shortage of sunbeds to hire. The locals were extremely friendly and made the stay even better. We spent our time on the beach right outside the Blue Phoenix bar, whose staff were lovely - and entertaining! The beach was quite short, but vey long and the scenery was beautiful. The water was lovely and warm and we frequently went for a swim. I would really recommend this beach to anyone looking for somewhere to chill out, catch some serious sun and enjoy the local hospitality. I am really glad that we found this spot - probably why we spent most of the week there!!!

We usually spend a lot of time on the beach and stayed in Artemis Apartments. Walked down to the beach first day with 2 boys, aged 11 and 13, and it was awful. Beds packed tightly together, looked like it was a hive of activity at night, i.e. just not suitable as a family beach. Very disappointed and spent most of our time around the lovely pool to our apartments.
Lambi beach was a convenient 10min stroll from the Smaragdi Studios where we stayed. We went in Oct so it was fairly quiet but I wouldn't like to be there when it is high season, as it's not that wide and the sunbeds are packed together. I never went in further than to paddle here as I thought it shelved off very quicky and I was a bit scared but my partner went in for a swim and he thought it was nice and warm-but was disappointed that it was very calm as he likes to play in the waves. I was a bit disappointed at the quality of the beach as it was mainly pebbles and covered in dry seeweed. I found it quite difficult to walk along as the stones kept going in my flip flops and it was too painful to go bare-foot. We much preferred the east coast of Lambi beach (near the army training base and towards Tingaki) as we basically had the beach to ourselves and it was a lot sandier. The waves here were great and the water quite shallow so we both had a good time playing around and gettin swept along. It was also great for a tan as it was very breezy. My scores are for the main Lambi beach though...
Much sandier than the beaches closer to Kos Town, lots of bars and resturants along the beach, free sunbeds, bar staff brought drinks etc down to u on the beach, lovely clear sea, kids loved it
much less crowded that the beaches closer to the harbour - very friendly beach @owners' and restaurants by the beach usuall deliver your drinks to the sunbeds. Water can be cold in early june and often a breeze - this helps with the tanning!
