these appartments are family run by paul his wife and his 2 girls joy and filli and not forgetting gran. they are very clean as is the pool and bar areas. tigaki centre is about 2.5 miles away which is a good 40 min walk, hire push bikes its the only way if you want a bit more freedom we had two bikes for 2 weeks which cost 40 euros with child seats. we biked in to kos town and mamarri with ease. the food and company is that good at the filli that you would not have to leave there for 2 weeks
the beach near the filli isnt that great but if you take a right and walk a while it gets better the best bit of beach for me was a left out of filli into tigaki centre and carrl on towards the salt lakes where its a lot quiter than the main tigaki beach, about a 15 min flat cycle. a cab cost 6 euros back from tigaki air con is 5 euros a night and a fan is 2.
the bloke who did elvis was that bad he was good, no really he was funny the fellas behind the bar where smooth making a point of buying you drink, if elvis offers you a hat dont take it. good night out
you wont eat in a better looking taverna, with all the vine leaves and grapes hanging around you. bit of a limitied menu but very nice. right next to the filli
the best bit of this beach for me was near the salt lakes, just walk right for 10 min. the sea can be like a mill pond 1 day and when the wind picks up it gets choppy which is more fun. watch out for the athens ferry about 10 min after it has passed you get 4 to 5 large waves which wash up the beach past the sun beds taking your shoes bags and whatever eles you have on the sand with it. i only made that mistake once.
its hot but the breeze makes it bearable. i thought the whole area of tigaki would be rammed with people but it wasnt which was nicer
