Kokalakis Hotel

I can't believe the 4/10 rating given to this hotel. Apart from Karen Watson's experience which by any standard was exceptional all other comments are favourable. Yes, the hotel is dated and basic, but it is clean and well managed by Nitsa, Anthula and the hard working Mirella. The location is wonderful right on the sea front and close to tavernas and restaurants. I am told modernisation work is to be completed for the 2004 season. The resort of Kefalos is quiet and beautiful but it may not be a young persons resort.

we stayed here during september 2001,the hotel is situated only a stones throw from the beach, the local supermarket,restaurants and tavernas.the hotel itself offers very basic accomadation with a continental breakfast option,with full english breakfast at an extra charge.better for young couples.

We last stayed here about 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. While it was a very, very basic hotel, as most in Greece are, it was clean and the owners were very friendly. It was ideally positioned for the beach and there were a few good restaurants nearby - although we ate at the Stamatia nearly every night! We hired a car to explore the island and so didn't spend all day, every day at the hotel. If you just want somewhere cheap to sleep, with a simple breakfast thrown in, in a pretty resort then you can't go far wrong with this hotel booked through Kosmar.

We arrived 5am,slept only two hours due to water pouring in from ceiling(about two inches)Took three days to re-concrete roof!!! Kosmar rep useless. Breakfast was well below par in dirty, sub-standard dining room. Pool area was poorly maintained and sun beds almost antique. If we hadn't hired a car and got away from this place our holiday would have been spoiled completely. Kosmar asked for 150 EUROS to recolate us. WE WONT BE BACK.

14 of my family went 1 sept 2001 Kefalos is very nice place good beach and really close to hotel.Hotel basic but clean staff very good.
Pop in to Manos bar he will look after you. Sebastians for food wont be beat.Water sports on beach and mini market.Pardise beach is is very good.Did not like Kos town or Kardamena much (ok for the young)
Kefalos is the best part of the island.

Hotel was lovely, very friendly staff that couldnt do enough for you. The rooms were basic, small room, very hot - you would need to hire a fan! Rooms were cleaned every other day. However they are sufficient as all you want is somewhere to sleep! Have a nice little balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was lovely, fair size with a few sunbeds and a beach bar. The hotel was ideally suitated was a few footsteps from the beach, bars and restaurants. The beach was nice, not sandy though it provided lots of water sports and lovely clear water. The Tavernas were lovely. Very cheep and everyone we spoke to was friendly. I am glad I stayed in Kefalos, it is very relaxed. Would definately go back again!

We had a great time here, beach not too good but plenty of pools that you can use. lots of restaurants and plenty bars for that nice cocktail to watch the sun go down. Staff in the hotel very friendly going back again next year
