Bubble Beach

Beaches on Kos

It was a nice beach. Shame we couldnt find the bubbles people raved about in the sea. If your arriving by boat from else where prepared to get wet when coming off cos the jetty dips into the water before it gets to the beach, it was funny watching fully dressed people getting soaked.... Best if you hire a car and drive down.

Plenty of water sports and sun loungers, and the sea was lovely and clear.

This was our 2nd holiday to Kos and the trip to Bubble Beach or Paradise Beach was just great.
The sand ws really fine and was hot too, so wear flip flops if if dont want your feet burnt!!!!.
As for the sea, well its really clear, albeit, a smidge cooler than other parts of the island, and the fish swim inbetween your legs and its great trying to catch them!!
There are bubbles in the sea, really fine bubbles to the far left of the beach area.
You can walk out a good 60 metres into the sea before you have to start swimming otherwise you would be submerged!!!
This beach is great for everyone. A good mix of everything, and the hire charges for the motorised boats were reasonable too.
We went in September 2003 and recommend this beach and we will be going back again in May 2004.

very nice place to top up your sun tan and great place for watersports.

Great beach, basically on the long bay that also has Paradise Beach. Am not sure where one starts and the other finishes but nonetheless, a great beach with loads of bubbles to float on which is a weird sensation.

I can tell you that Bubble Beach, or Paradise Beach as it is known, is open. I have just returned from Kos and my daughter and I liked this beach very much. We just hopped on a bus from Kefalos (90 cents)and was there in about 10 minutes. To see the bubbles you need to head for the left hand side (looking out to sea) of the watersports hut. Wade out to about chest height (5' ish) and the bubbles are there. The best view is to use a snorkel and then you can really see them. Be aware though, they are not enormous bubbles, just like lemonade bubbles, small and delicate!!! Enjoy, it's great.

I feel a bit naughty giving bubble beach such a bad score as we didn't even manage to get there! However just a word of warning to anyone travelling to Kos in late April, check first that the beach is open. We spoke to a tour operator who was organising a tour to bubble beach, we left our details but they never got back to us, someone told us a bus went there so we waited for it but it didn't turn up, I then asked a Thomas Cook Rep who phoned the head office and we were finally informed that Bubble Beach was closed and infact had Bulldozers on it due to weather damage from the bad winter. So please be advised to double check that the beach is actually open before organising your day.

BUBBLE BEACH IS ONE OF THE BEST BEACHES IN THE WORLD. WE WERE THERE IN LATE AUGUST 2002. AND THERE WHERE THOUSANDS OF BUBBLES. DONT EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO SEE THEM FROM UR SUN LOUNGER THOUGH U NEED 2 GET OF UR BUM AND GET IN WATER, TRUST ME ITS AMAZING.

Zoe H

There were no bubbles which was really disappointing, especially aftert already paying for sun loungers!!!
We vistied Therma (other side of Kos Town)first and this was the most amazing experience ever!!!

The bubbles are good. Bit of a walk to the cafe and poor choice of food when you get there. Rather expensive sunbeds and very cold water. Great view, though.

There were loads of bubbles when I was there last week. You had to swim out a bit - you couldn't see them if you were paddling, but they were ther all right - very impressive. It's more expensive than other places for sunbeds and brollys and the beach cafe could do with a bit of healthy competition but well worth a visit.

wot are you on about joanna boi there is bubbles u have to read the sign which points to where they are the germans dont get in your way its the best beach ive ever been to

Joanne B

Bubble beach is lovely, the water is warm and the sand is fine (as in small grains!!) However, there's no bubbles. Don't Believe the hype!! (c/o Public Enemy 1997). Also, full of germans so if you don't like that, stay away.... make sure you wear your england kit and chant "funf-ein to the eng-er-land.."
