we find it one of the hottest beaches on Kos - in late may early june - not as windy as the northern ones - perhaps a little too commercialised
much less crowded that the beaches closer to the harbour - very friendly beach @owners' and restaurants by the beach usuall deliver your drinks to the sunbeds. Water can be cold in early june and often a breeze - this helps with the tanning!
sounds worth a visit - can anyone give directions or address - we know Kos Town fairly well
We use the Sunburnt for breakfast if we're not self catering. Very good tea and nice british toast! the owner - someone says its yanni is very friendly and recognizes us as soon as we walk down the street on the first morning even after a gap of 2 years. He offers free sunbeds but we prefer to go further down lambi beach where its less crowded
Just seen Tony's comment spelling should be Giannis i see- its all greek to me!!
Nicola - its very easy to find your way on Kos. there's one main road which runs down the centre of the island and towns and beaches are well signposted. Haven't been to Limionas but intend to when we visit in first 2 weeks of June So I hope it is signposted - anyone confirm??
Staying at the Captains for 2 weeks from 1/6/03. Used to stay at the Artemis on Kanari stree which was excellent but not with Airtours this year. Can anyone give us an idea of its location say in relation to Kanari street - Sunset Tavern - or the Dolphins. Don't know Caravan but will be trying it esp after Tony's praise!
Must have just missed Tony! Location was excellent for us - just a few minutes walk to the beach via The Sunburnt Arms for Breakfast!
Hotel was basic butgood. Balcony rather small and pool has limited space.Double glazing was useful! - most noise came from Mike the barman when he got stuck in the lift at about 4.00am. Tony's mentioned ML car hire - fully recommend - helpful, good cars and very reasonable.
