hey everybody,hope you all had a fab time in kos, kardamena this year cos i did! ive just had a fab 9 weeks again for the second time around working as a rep out there and i think i can happily say ive never met friendlier or more generous people in my life. the nightlife is great, the sites are gorgeous, the fun never stops! i love it and plan to return asap. love to all x

just come back from the best 7 weeks of my life?
it started with a 2 week holiday in july in kardamena then came back to england with 4 sad faces and that lasted a week b4 booking a 1 way flight back 2 kardamena.with all the intention 2work only 1out of my 4 mates got a job, me!!! prob the worst job being a waiter at amazon!!!(which lasted a week) but mostly chilled by kool pool and got seriously drunk in status for 7 weeks!

I av just been readin all bout Bernie's bar and it seems like a real laugh does ne1 av ne pics of it or ne comments coz me and 7 otha scots lassie's r goin nxt june 4 2 weeks and were jst wonderin?

3rd time in Kardamena. Won't be the last. Made alot of friends out there. Ok, the beach isn't the best but its clean and all your gonna do is sleep,Kings Arms for Knackers cocktails, watersports near McDonalds for whatever you want, Scala for the best food in the resort, if not there, most resteraunts do ok food, Downtown club for good old cheesy music, Starlight for clubbin, Mad Club for Indie. Don't ask the DJ in Downtown for requests, he scowls.Kos Town is a good day out, we did it by boat last year from Kardamena harbour.All that enter Kardamena will have a good time. Enjoy

hey peeps!! just returned from a mad week in kardamena!! it was excellent the people were so friendly n the reps were ace!! kerry n lucy we love ya loadz!!!! went 2 amazon a few times it was 15 euro for a 3 course meal & as much as u could drink all night so a big bargain!! wel hope 2 go bk nxt year had the maddest time eva thanx 4 all those who made it as good as it was :) xxx

kardamena was excellent we had a brilliant time there .best bars crossroads and bernies worst taboo / best restraunt moonshine / stayed at the cleopatra hotel wich was 2 minutes from the beach and within staggering distance from all the bars

Dont wait until you get there to change your euros up they charge you a mad rate you are better going to the post office and doing it there.

For those of you that went to tonys was there a guy behind the pool bar called angel..... long hair to his sholders....

Just back from Kardamena last week, had a brill time. Stopped in Plousia apartments, these are on the main road, which was busy & noisy but plenty of vodka cocktails of a night helped with a good nights kip O & a rented fan for 18 Euro, clean & tidy & we used Tony's Pool which was quite quiet so managed a few kips in the sun! Must bars to go to are Point One & Stone Roses Bar & then for a late night dance & drink try Downtown & Mad Club, 2 of the smaller clubs in the centre of Kardamena! Touts outside the bars were a pain, but pretend you dont understand english, they soon let you walk on by!!!!

We stayed at the Emiliana Appartments - which could not have been cleaner! And the view could not have been better!
As for Kardemena itself - MC Donalds... need I say more! Probably THE best holiday destination for balzin squad!
However further away from the main town it is the picute post card of a lush holiday. Had THE best food on the island at Posidonia and the best reception too.
Would recomend hiring a car to see the rest of the island.

6 girls from north London- we lived it up big time in Kos from 19th Aug - 2nd September. absolutly loved it, couldnt have asked for better. everyone was so friendly. cant wait til nxt year, goin out there to work. i cried all the way home. No Name bar was quality, the PRs were the best. and it was all about the Geordies that we spent the 2 weeks with, absolutly mint!! look out Kos 2005, il b back!!!!

We stayed in Kos Town, but went to Kardamena in the day in the car to see what it was like, because we were going to go there one night. We parked up and had a wander. First impressions were that Kardamena was a dump! We didn't bother going back to check out the night life, because we were so put off. There were about 30 people waiting outside the medical centre which was a bit worrying. We did walk along the harbour though which was lovely. Went in a really good restaurant by the harbour called Loustros which was nice. Wouldn't recommend Kardamena to anyone, but I have been told that the night life is actually really good and I suppose that if that's all you were going for it would probably be ok.

Beaches - Poor, isn't really a decent one unless you want to leave the town.
Restaurants - Aramis & Camelot 2 of the best. Avli was poor and expensive.
Bars - Buddies is a rip off. Aussie bar (Mozzie Bar) stank of stale beer. Skyline great for cocktails and nice waitress.
Trips - Nisyros well worth a day trip.
Hated not being able to walk past a restaurant and bar without being asked to come in. Resort was very quiet I thought with many bars and restaurants with only a handful of people in, so I suppose the were desperate to pull in anyone they could.

Been back a few days now and so want to be back!!! Fab place, something for everyone, young and single, couples, even families enjoy this resort. I went with my hubby, we are still young and like to party, tried everywhere, bar street, main square, along the harbour "Point One" a must - we loved it. Beach didn't look much but so we went to Kool Pool and it is a "Cool Pool".

Two of us flying out on 28th August and can't wait, to see the sun and lots of alcohol!!!!!

It wicked, I would recommend it to any one I was out there as a rep and can say you will have a great time. If your travelling with Kosmar stay in one of the Cleo Hotels the staff there are great. Beach is near, Bars close at 12, clubs close at 2-4, but behind the Kosmar office is and 18-30’s hotel and they are open 24 hours or head to the taxi rank they have another bar open 24 hours. You have no excuse.

Airport is small and always busy but once you get past the first door you should fly though.

Best Part of the Beach is by McDonalds. Not many stones, fit men, and they don’t have animals under Walter eating you there.

Definitley go to Kos to celebrate your birthday I did, and can't remeber a thing, had to rely on the photo's I took to jog the memory. Best plasce to go is point one, hello you welsh boys (Neil, Martin and Nathan). Another good place to go for nice looking guys would be Hartley's, girls you have to check out butch and Jay, i fell in love. Would definitely loved to have stayed, any jobs going ??? JUST RETURNED FROM KOS STAYED IN CLEOPATRA APPARTMENTS WHICH WERE BASIC BUT CLEAN TOOK TWO SIXTEEN YEAR OLD GIRLS WHO HAD A FANTASTIC TIME AND WERE ABLE TO GO IN THE BARS IN THE SQUARE ON THEIR OWN AS IT WAS QUITE SAFE. LOADS OF BARS GOING FROM QUIET TO VERY NOISY IN THE SQUARE GOOD CHOICE OF PLACES TO EAT WOULD RECOMMEND "EL GRECO" ON THE BEACH VERY GOOD FOOD AND FAIRLY CHEAP,LOOKS VERY DIFFERENT OF A NIGHT, CAMALOT AND EMPORIUM WERE GOOD. NISYROS 'VOLCANO' TRIP WAS GOOD, HARIETT TRAVEL IN THE SQUARE DO GOOD DEALS FOR TRIPS. IN THE AIRPORT CHECK BOTH CAROUSELS FOR YOUR LUGGAGE AS THEY JUST THROW THEM ON ANY REGARDLESS OF WHICH FLIGHT YOU ARE ON.

brilliant holiday, hot everyday quality nightlife shame the music goes off at 12 but gives you a chance to lay some groundwork with the ladies, big up to the Pr's at Harleys bar Donna,Laura,Kelly,Rachel & Zahra wouldnt have had as much fun if we hadnt met,great drinking games will miss the banter and your butts! love you all catch up soon

We didn't actually stay in Kardamana, we stayed in Kefalos. But we partied 5 nights out of 7 in Kardamana. As it really was a good nightlife, & we were very impressed. Young people, reasonable prices for booze, all night after parties. Who can complain about that.If your a single bloke as well, there is plenty of good looking ladies out there, in mini skirts and low tops. That catch the eye..

this is an amazing resort the best bars are the stone roses,status,the mad club,harleys theres loads to do and the beaches are great you wont be board.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT VALINAKIS HOTEL?

My friends and i have booked to go to kardamena on 11th september for a week. we've booked into the Valinakis hotel, but now we're seriously scared!! cos we've read nothing but bad reports about it. our tour operator told us that there was a pool, but we're now under the impression that it doesnt have one. we're also wondering if there are any facilities in the room for cooking i.e. fridge/cooker?? i'd be grateful for ANY comments, good or bad! samantharand@hotmail.com

I have heard that the bars music go off at 12 o'clock is this true?

I was in Kos last year, in Kardamena and have been a few times before. I have been on the ferry to Turkey and they were supposed to be making it so you could go direct to Turkey from Kardamena and not have to go into Kos Town. Is this possible yet?

Beach on the right of the harbour nice.Sun bed prices vary as you get further along.

loved the holiday but would seriously advise against booking trips with harriet travel if anyone can help with a contact number for them would appreciate it, we booked the saturday evening in kos town trip the night we were due to fly home and they left us stranded there!!!!!!!!! cost us a fortune to get back and nearly missed our plane, fantastic service!!!!

Hello all! Me and my Mate r coming to Kardamena in two weeks for a girly holiday, we're stayin at kool pool.
If anyone has any advice on the area or where we can have loads of fun please help as we're first timers to Kos.

We visited Kardamena for the first time this year, and really enjoyed it.
The local beach was a bit of a dissapointment, full of sunbeds, and not actually able to walk along it for this reason. If you go to the beach to swim, i would recommend finding a quiet spot by hte harbour, or alot furthur down the coast, away from the bars and resteraunts. The nightlife was good...with special recommendation to ADAMS cocktail bar...a small bar on the sea front, with the best, cheapest cocktails on the island, and one of hte nicest greeks we came across. This was also one of the only bars, where you could sit and actually have a conversation, but due to the surrounding bars, it wasnt as quiet as it could have been.
Shopping wasnt up to much, just mosly tourist stuff...nothing greek really, but was still nice for browsing.
All hte locals, i found, to be very friendly, and always happy to help you...dont let the P.R.s get you though!!

Overall, a fab holiday, and i would recommend kardamena, as there is something to cater for everyone, of all ages etc etc!!

hi thought i'd never be the sort of person who would go back to a place again but in one week am going back to kardamena for second time this year and fifth year on trot!!! we absolutely adore the mix of being able to have peace and quiet if we wish or clubbing if we want that. twenty year old daughter and her friends love it and it's very safe place so they've been able to go out at night on their own since fifteen - good few hangovers though!! we always hire a motorbike so that we can go round the island and into the mountains - good cure for the hangovers! we've stayed in various appts and none are far from square and clubs. one was right next to a club but didn't hear a thing at night cos everywhere is soundproofed after midnight. would not want to stay in kos town at all personally but good to visit. enjoy your hols jacqui, coventry

Kardamena was good enough. We didn't go mad on the nightlife side of things so I can't really comment there. The beach was only ok. Water gets very deep very quickly so before you know it you can be out of your depth and I didn't see any sign of lifeguards anywhere on the island. €3 for sunlounger for whole day. Kardamena has a constant wind which is good because it keeps you cool but the problem is you then don't realise how hot it actually is plus there's the wind burn factor. I got badly burn my first day because I wasn't using a high enough factor, so be warned! I thought Paradise beach (bubble beach)was much better. We stayed in Zoubolia apts. which were average. I think if I was to come to Kos again I would book to stay in Kos Town and it seems to have more to offer. Greek food is really lovely - don't be put off by the weird names, steer clear of pizzas, it's not Italy! Most places you would get 2 glasses wine and main course for €10 or less. The restaurant I would recommend most is Posidonia, it's over the bridge and down a side street off the main road on the left hand side. Fantastic food right beside the sea edge in the moonlight. We booked trips with a local place called Harriet Travel who were excellent and when I was ill during a trip we booked with them they were very kind and helpful. Don't book with your reps, if you look around there are much better offers or just use the local bus for trips to Kos Town or Paradise beach - only €2!We used the local bus service from Kardamena which is only €2 and much better than forking out to a travel company or your reps. Someone said to us that the service isn't that reliabel but we had no problems. The buses aren't that frequent and are punctual so make sure you're early so you don't miss it! Kos town has much more than Kardamena - shops, sites to see etc. Turkey is very close you can see it clearly from Kos Town Harbour. We had a good day there and it's certainly worth a visit.

Visited it on a day trip. People say its like Blackpool and thats an insult to Blackpool! Crammed with 'Only Fools and Horses' and 'Roy Chubby Brown' bars. The 'action' is just as good in Kos town but the capital is much nicer and cheaper. Thank god we didn't go to Kardemena!

Staying at the aegean village so called 5 star but i would rate it 3.5 star ! was a bit of disaster.many of the services they claim to provide do not exist.eg jacuzzi.
also they do not cater for vegetarians in spite of earlier recommendation.the courtesy transport is very difficult and inconsistemt.the staff are not very helpfull!

We love Kardamena - I have been there 8 times now and still plan to go back a further 2 times this year. Loverly Harbour great bars and restaurants, The residents are all really friendly, My friend likes it so much she is getting married there next year and we are all attending. Not for you if you like falaraki (stay away)

People are probably going to hate me for saying this but I would
never go back to Kardamena. There are so many much nicer
resorts to go to in Greece. Yeah, the nightlife's good but the
place looks like a building site and the beach is appalling - a tiny
strip of pebbly sand with about 1000 sunbeds crammed onto it.
There are some surprisingly good restaurants there though -
Avli, Ariadne, Papagalo's(not the fast food one) Andreas but it
really puts me off when I see a McDonalds and people actually
eating there when Greek food is so tasty and so cheap. Basically
it's just rough and if you're any older than 21 and want to do more
than just get drunk and throw up you'd be better off going
elsewhere on Kos.

hi im in kardamena, and i work in bernies bar and i don't like it i f*****g, love it , come and see me and ill get u w**kered, and show u a good time , come see the flying barman on a monday night and play old sparky . from our bar u can witness the staring pr stu, and his amazing hair cut, but when u come be very careful of the killer goldfish, last one caught was 4 ft long. and be careful of the vampire rep called natalie, we call her dyson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also come to the elga pool and get chucked in by the lads ,

just been to kardamina for the 5th time and heres my dos and donts for all you crazy, lazy sexy drinkers heading out there .........

(1) avoid any bar crawl you are offered, you will be overcharged and taken to the 'rip off' bars without any say, so say no to those pushy reps who dont care about you and have there heads up there a**es.

(2) the main bar street bars will charge two to three times more than the other bars on the resort, avoid them like polio.

(3) from the funky worm to bernies bar on the harbour front you will find more reasonable bars to booze in before you hit the clubs, this is only for the wise people.

(4) dont go on the volcano trip, there is one bar on the volcano run by the ginger onion, a pint of pineappleade set me back the equivelant of 14 pounds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(5) the amazon resteraunt is a value4 money place to eat and drink.

(6) if you are in any greek run bar then avoid saying cheers, as it sounds like chiz, which is the greek meaning for hairy chest !!!!! a crisp yamas would suffice !

(7) do not bother with your export beers, stick to the mythos and amstel, it does the same trick for half the price, also drink house spirits, keep away from the premium labels boys and girls.

(8) if you ever feel the need to cycle, walk or drive into the mountains avoid the north facing vineyards and orange groves, this land is run by the infamous gambini brothers and they will kick the s**t out of you on the spot if you so much as touch a grape or infact step on there soil, the gambini mountain men are the law.

hello all... just got back from kardamena, had a great time, feel a little miffed at the reps for the crap bars they took me and my mates too on the bar crawl. i wouldnt reccomend this option to anyone. the reps may only be doing their jobs but the bars they took us to were disgusting. found the seva hotel to be chilled and had a nice time @ crackers, bernies bar, harleys. found the loustros restaurant very enjoyable. had a great night at amazon, though woke up very, very hung over the following morning. flamingo's is quality people, i love the cheese they play and i had a great s**g off a beauty from there!! will be back in july and look forward to seeing the people from the good bars/restaurants named, wont be going on any bar crawls though!! have fun all! peace and love to you all!!

went at the begining of th season, looked more like a building site on the prom will look nice when finished. power went off every night at 9.30pm. beach was very poor. we hired a car to get out of the resort in day light

First went to Kardamena on a gielie holiday in 1992 and loved it.
Returned in 2003 for 1 week, loved it that much, went back for another week 8 weeks after that.
Just booked up again and look forward to another fortnight there this June.
Lovely people, good food, excellent nightlife. Sun, sea and sand, what more could you ask for!!!

Went in May 2002 and loved it. Quality people, quality bars and lovely weather.
There are 6 of us off again on the 26th June 2004 for a week and its gonna be a wicked time. Most likely to be found swinging off the light fittings in Crackers (our favourite bar), thats if louie gets the sambucca topped up. I was in kos last july with my 3 3 best mates!! Two of my friends Katie and Cala stayed out there till october!! They worked at Amazon then started working at Status too!! The Funky worm was a bit of a local for them and they all dressed up in Barbie t-shirts for someones birthday!!
Their going back in April for the summer and are missing it like maaaaad!! Might go out myself to them for a couple of mnths if not just for a holiday!!

hotel was adequate, nightlife was good,very noisy, does anyone know how to get hold of hotel katerina in kardamena?

me and my friends went to the kool pool appartments, we found the nightlife fantastic, the nightclubs were close enough to the appartments for easy access but far enough to enjoy a night in if neccessary. shopping is limited but has the best local variety. the appartments were clean and customary for what we were looking for, and well the beach, three words: men, men, men. Im sure u'll enjoy.

Amazin time was had by myself and my ladies in June of 2003. Numerous (in fact 13) nights spent at Starlight and No Name Bar,Neil mmmmmm also Memories with the slush vodkas and fit PR Lee, we stayed at the Kardamos Hotel, (i was nicknamed mullet by those who recognised me) If anybody knows us or remembers us, 6 ladies from Birmingham then lemme know 25th June forward for 2 weeks - champagnesupanova@hotmail.com!

well , that sounded like a good holiday. the seva pools provided me with hours of entertainment, i went swimming fully clothed in that 24 hour pool one night. a lot of my mates stayed there, i think thats the best hotel by far.

now that sounds funny! yeah bernies bar was funny. i also liked crossroads, that bar was funny, there was some song playing when i walked past there once and there were about 50 people sitting outside in a line singing this song and doin some random dance!! its all good!

Didnt relise this site was the Bernies Bar appreciation page. Glad i found it though. I was a regular in there for two weeks in July and am a big fan of Lee and Andy, who gave me a free teabag one night. I still have it at home! I used to love watch those 2 fighting in the street outside the bar. Great laugh. Well done you guys,the best pr's in Kardamena, and Bernie is the best bar owner by far.

I've now been back home a week after staying in Kardamena for two weeks. The weather was fantastic, though sometimes a little bit windy. I can't wait for next season, I'm sure we will go again. This will be my third time. Everyone is so friendly and it's such a lovely place to visit.

i went to Kos with my boyfriend for his birthday and loved every minute of it. the people were really nice, the food was ok and the beaches got better as ther week went on. we visited bubble beach and paradise beach, and they were amazing. also for his actual birthday we went to zia sunset, the highest point on the island. the view was beautiful and the restuarant was quite nice also.

Gemma, i can guarantee that everywhere you go in Kardamena you will love. All the pubs have a great atmosphere, i would however recommend you try Point One, that has to be my favourite. Starlight and Status are the clubs we liked, Starlight was better by far. When do you go? You'll have a fabby time x

The best bars and clubs to go in kardamena?

Just come back from Kardamena staying at Sovereign Beach. Hotel was great but wish we had not have gone all inclusive. On some of our trips around the island we missed our hotel meals and opted for dinner in some of the local restaurants. The food was excellent and great value for money. Zia was the best for restaurants and the views and sunsets are very breathtaking. When i go back to Kos i will probably opt for self catering at Tingaki or Mastahari as the beaches there were beautiful although i hear in the summer it is a haven for the Germans. All in all a superb holiday with lovely, friendly local people.

14 of us girls went from the 16th July for a week 2003 and we have an amazing time. Didn't even need to pay no reps 4 us to have a good time. We didn't need to join anyone's bar crawl cuz we made our own. Met some wicked people, big up the Manchester boys who were all of their heads drinking JD...nice. All of us felt mashed during the day but the Seva provided good chicken sandwiches and pool fun to get us through. Thanks George, sorry bout that 300 euro noise fine...my fault. Thanks 2 the Eastleigh boys (keeping the Southampton vibe going on) you provided my friends with multiple amounts of pleasure i'm sure! You'll see us lot in a resort near you next year! XX

went back to work, i probably met a few of u out there!!!! i went back on the 16th July til the end and i worked on the watersports, Starlight and Club 69, iv got long blonde hair and i was a bit of a nutta with a hangover the next morning regardless of being at work!!! i wanna say hi to everyone on the watersports, and Especially Craig, my luvly friend and nutty manager of THE KINGS ARMS!!would recomend that place to anyone!!!! wanna say hi to Danny from marios and John, er...forgot where u worked!
