Hi I am staying at the cleopatra hotel for a week from the 14th Aug. Booked with Kosmar on b + b basis - however im worried as i dont think ill have a fridge im my room - need it for the drinks b4 we go out.
Can any1 describe what the rooms are like and also is the superior hotel part of this one? i saw it in the brochure but it hadnt been built.
Any info on the hotel or kardemena itself please help!!!
Hi Bethan - are u flying from gatwick? I think the flights have changed - ill wait until I get my tickets. How many of you going?
Is Kardamena a good place for a couple (were 19) going on the 14th Aug!!!
You know i wouldnt be supprised if we are all on the same coach from the airport - looking at the brochure all flights land around the same time.
Cant wait now - looking forward to it - this time next week be round the pool with a drink or two!!!
All my shopping is done (although i may find time 4 more) Getting my haircut tomorrow and starting the packing. Its my last day at wrk today so im happy!!
2 hrs of work and 2 days to go!!!!
Not too sure - think i will get there at 5 in the morning, will anything be open?
Sorry how many of u are going again?? Ages??
I got back nearly a few weeks ago. The cleopatra was excellent, and in a great location. We did have a dodgy fan in our room, but it worked.
Really great place.
We booked with our rep - so it looks like we probably got ripped off, it wasnt greatly organized and the boat was so hot and sticky.
We had a great day though, 6 hours a little bit long - wish we had taken more money to buy some of the stuff out there - its all fake designer but i love spending so it makes no difference.
Ate at a nice restaurant on the harbour - except for the stray cat sitting on out seats.
Would definatly reccomend as i quite enjoyed it and can now say ive been to turkey
To be honest what more do you expect to see from a Volcano?? It was something ill probably never see again, it wasnt what i expected but it was interesting
Im not a great sightseeer but i did like the trip, one thing, make sure you wear trainers or shoes, flip flops kill your feet walking down into the crater.
Lovely peaceful island where my unsociable boyfriend wants to live.
Good trip!"!!
Very nice - but the starters are massive so unless you are very hungry i wouldnt order both!!!
Best restaurant on the island, Nyonis and the other guy are so friendly we went there nearly every day (something i dont useually do on holiday)
Best dishes are Chicken a la creme (which my boyf has told me i need to learn to cook it) and Carbonara
Located right at the end of Bananna beach(the second beach in kardamena)
First time with Kosmar - its really the same as going with any operator. If u are unfortuante to have a delay then it will make the whole travelling experience a nightmare - the reps were friendly and approchable. Ours was a guy called Norie.
Good tour operator, reasonable prices (hate monarch airlines though)
Also the transfer time is brilliant only about 10 mins
You definatly need passports also i think you pay port tax either end - i think ours was 3 euros??
