.We went on holiday here from the 9th August 2008 -16th August 2008. The weather was great , the staff which was run by Nikos and his family were very helpful and friendly,As you would expect from a basic holiday it was cheap and cheerful!!. You get what you pay for.The room was cleaned every day that we were there. If you get the chance to go i would recommend that you went on the Greek Night!!We also went on the island tour-did local wine tasting!! -How ever the rep that we had was not very good or very friendly ,the only time she spoke to us was when she wanted us to go on there charity night.(something in it for her)I would go there again as long as they could change the tour company (Olympic)not the most helpful of tour companys .However we did make some lovely friends who we will keep in touch with.
Just got back from 2 weeks in oasis apartments i literally feel sick the owners are the most miserable people in the world. We were there for 10 days without clean bedding or towels me dad ad 2 swear at the rep 4 her to do something about it, it was minging the bin in the bathroom is supposed to get emptied every day more like every 5 days. Also there is only 1 cleaner 2 do 64 apartments but she always seemed 2 do 1 side. There is this big massive dog what the owner let roame round and it would pee every wer an dribble on your things. The brochure is totally wrong a 5 minute stroll 2 the local shops more like a 25 minute stroll. Kos town is not a 15-25 minute walk you have to get a taxi you cant walk there, there is no proper paving. The owner is always smoking even around food when his wife is cooking it. The prices in his shop are really expensive. A word of advice before you go just dont go. Seriously avoid that place like the plague. We are all glad to be home. We will never go back.
Just got back after 7 days here and Although the brochure was a bit misleading over the location, you just cant fault the complex. quiet friendly atmosphere, the owners are great, the room although basic does what is says on the tin, you dont go to such a nice place to cook yourself and there are plenty of good places a short bike ride away or taxi ride or even in the complex bar itself to eat. The complex has a great pool and the evening entertainment was good too. Didnt see much of the rep, but any problems could easily be addressed by Nikkos the owner. Recommend hiring a bike or moped, and also go on the 3 islands tour and trip to Turkey. Just buy them from the boats in Kos Town not the Rep as they are half the price there. Would highly reccomend this place for those who want a cheap no frills holiday, its family friendly and clean what else could you ask for?
Appts were basic but cleaned daily ,bedding and towels changed every other day.Stayed 3rd to 17th sept.no sight of any rats and only saw one cockroach on the driveway.Info given by brochure as to location and distance to beach ,shop and town very misleading, but local taxis good value and you could always hire a bike. Owner Nikos pleasant enough but could be more helpful. Food good and reasonably priced.Wont be returning due to location,.
My boyfriend and i are just back from two weeks at oasis. Our room was cleaned at least 8 times in 14 days, so no complaints there! the apartments are very basic, as we expected. (you get what you pay for eh!) Quite a walk away from everything but for 6euro a taxi will take you right into the middle of town. Owner Nikos and his family are lovely, the bike hire man is a cracker, and our rep, Ben, was really helpful. Kos is gorgeous and there is plenty to do. There's the usual pubbing and clubbing on the harbour, but if you work your way back a few streets into the old town, you'll find cheaper and quieter taveras to eat in. Oasis was a good place to touch base on our holiday, the bar is fine if you don't fancy venturing out and there's a mini market for essentials (cheaper in town though, as Nikos will tell you!) Pool very clean and plenty of sunloungers. basketball area and kids playground, didnt use either, but they are there! Nice enough for a basic place to sleep. Only noise is a cockerel and the other folk staying there.
I need the E-mail adress of the appartment for to ask informations and price and the possibility to reserve. Pls could you send the address to my mail? Thanks in advance danio76@tiscali.it
Exactly what my girlfriend and i was expecting to be honest.
1)Location, 3km from Dolphin Sq (Happening centre of Kos Town) as per the brochure, the brochure does not lie! so we were ready for that!
2)Quietness, Being 3km from the centre and set off a back road, the only noise you contend with it the Goats and a Donkey up the road on a farm!, perfect for relaxing!
3) Cleanliness, Our room was cleaned 3 times in Six full days, any arguements???
Rep Sean Farrell was cool, good local knowledge and good when under pressure to deliver, no problem. ( Likes to talk about his weight! )
Owner Nikos is quiet a character, typical Greek man, top bloke...
Only problem we had was the amount of Dutch people staying there, it was like Ansterdam and Rotterdam moved to Kos for the Summer!
Give it a try, £300 pw in the height of season is not bad at all!
The accommodation is small and basic the hotel is run by owners and they werent nice at all!The hotel is miles away from anything, food is ok and not expensive. These would be great if they were in the town and the owners were nice, cant believe how rude they were!In my 2 week stay are room got cleaned about 3 times. While i was there rats were in rooms and a family had to be moved because of them.I saw a number of rats. The rep was a complete waste of time! The staff and rep totally ruined my holiday.Good Luck if u go to these apartments.
I was there 23/7/2003 - 7/8/2003
