Mythos Apartments

Accommodation in Tingaki

Rachel B

Yes, it's my first time to the Mythos, only my second time to Kos...last time was 8 years ago and I stayed in Kardamena - I'm hoping for something a little different this time!!  The apartments look good, I'm looking forward to it...I searched for ages to try and find something I was happy with...the other one that was well reviewed was Akti Dimmys but that doesn't look as nice.  What is the night life like?  Are there any bars with karaoke??

Michelle H

Hi Im going to be staying in Mythos apartments on 9th oct for a week. Will the weather be warm still and everywhere still open?

Tina R

It looks like lots of people on here will be at the Mythos when we go back for our fourth visit 17 Sept - 1 Oct.

It's such a great place, as is Tingaki itself, and it really does feel like a home from home.  Looking forward to seeing Costsas (both of them) George, Helen and everybody else.

4 weeks to go and counting down!

See you all there.

Ian M          10/10

Mary, if it is your first time in Tingaki, you are in for a VERY pleasant suprise.

My Partner Rosemary and myself have spent many holiday's here and in fact were there just 6 weeks ago and we return from Glasgow on the 28th for a week.

The Mythos apartments are superb,as are the staff (Costas will look after you !) look out for Helena (We call her Granny Mythos) she will keep you on the right track.

There is a resteraunt attatched to the Mythos called the Vasillas which is awesome, although there are that many nice Tavernas about you will be spoilt for choice.

Loads of good bars as well depending on what you like, The Mascot is pretty lively but not 18-30ish,in fact you will not find that sort of clientel about.

Personally we like Memories Bar,Stamatos,George & Michael take care of you until the small hours.

Have a great time......The beach is superb as well and who knows we may bump into to you

Hi Christine,

We stayed at the Mythos last year, and although the kitchen area is very basic, there is a fridge in the apartments.  In our apartment last year (I'm not sure if they are all the same) we had 2 electirc rings and a toaster, there was a kettle but that is about it.  But yes there is definately a fridge in the rooms.
Have a great time
Vikki

Christine F

can anyone tell me if there is a fridge in the apartments?

In none of the descriptions of the apart. does it say "fridge"

Tina R

Just to say hello to everyone who will be at the Mythos at some point between 17 Sept and 1 Oct.  It looks like there will be quite a few after reading the comments on here.

We arrive for our fourth visit there on 17 Sept and we cannot wait.  7 weeks to go and definitely counting!!

Looking forward to seeeing some old faces (Lynne & Paul, Dean, Theresa & co.) and meeting some new ones.

These apartments really are great so see you there.

Hi - we are shortly going to the Mythos apartments and have a 2 bedroom apartment (I'm assuming it is one of the new ones as our invoice says it's for 5). What I wanted to know was do they have 2 air-con units (hence double cost) and if so is there one in each bedroom? Thanks.

Debbie P          10/10

Just had the best holiday ever.  These apartments had everything we were looking for and we wouldn't want to go anywhere else now.  Food, pool area, atmosphere and staff were amazing.  A special "hi" to Costas (you made our holiday very special) and Costas II at the pool bar who always had our drinks waiting at the bar after our meal.  What service!!  See you all in October guys - can't wait.  Thanks for everything

My friend and I have just returned from a weeks holiday staying for the first time at Mythos (not Tingaki) and what a fab place!

The rooms are basic (we were in the older rooms) but more than adequate and very clean. Safety deposit box was free and air con was 6euros a day which was badly needed!

The pool area was great with fab atmosphere. Both day and at night.

We ate at pool bar every day for breakfast and lunch and ate every nite in Vassilis Restaurant so I think that says it all!

All the staff were great - special mention to Costa as he was such a friendly funny guy. Not forgetting Costa ll who worked the bar at night.

Could not recommend this place enough and I would be so dissapointed to return to Tingaki and not stay here. Of all the places I have stayed in Tingaki this is by far the best!!

Lynne G

Hi Graham,

We had one of  the new 2 bedroom apartments last year over looking the pool they are lovely.
They do have a fridge in them as do all the other apartments at the mythos.

We are going back for the 3rd time on the 17th September for a week and have also booked 2 weeks for next September because it is such a great place and the people are so friendly and can`t do enough for you and also hope to see some familiar faces there too.
.
Have a great holiday and hope this helps.

Hi,

We are coming to the Mythos apartments on June 18th for a family holiday and have booked one of the new 2 bedroom apartments.

It doesn't mention in the brochure whether there is a fridge in the apartments, and I can't find any info on the forums. Can someone confirm whether fridges are in the apartments please ?

Sue C

We have just booked our return holiday to the mythos apartments for september the 25th this year.  Me and my partner both in our early twentys had the best holiday ever here last June and cannot wait to return in Septemeber.  Here are some photos for all you guys going for the first time this year x

Nigel, elaine, rachel and

In answer to Lilly Edwards' questions. You will find it is normally in the mid 30'sC to low 40's C in August  and September and all the apartments at the Mythos are great. Very clean and tidy. Hope this helps. We are going back to the Mythos on May 14th to celebrate our daughter Rachel's 18th birthday. Really looking forwared to being back in Tingaki. See you all soon.

Tina R          10/10

We were at these great apartments from 19 Sept - 3 October and although this was our third time there, we can honestly say that they are as brilliant as ever.

Everything from the cleanliness of the apartments and elsewhere to the daytime pool bar staff and the restaurant staff cannot be faulted. One minor gripe would be that there is still no toaster in the apartments.

Helen and George made sure as always that all guests felt welcome and had a lovely stay and we would also like to pay a special thanks to Costas who worked in the restaurant and Costas who worked in the bar of an evening.

The restaurant, Vassilis was as excellent as ever with wondeful food at reasonable prices.

We went with people (Jackie, Geoff and co.) we had met there in 2005 and we also met some other lovely people there too: Lynne and Paul and co. plus Theresa, Den and co and our neighbours from Hull.

We have taken the plunge and have booked to go back next September, 17 - 30 so we are hoping to bump into some familiar faces in 2008.

In short these apartments are ideally located in the lovely resort of Tingaki and are well maintained and well worth a visit.

Tina, Martin and Evie Rippingale.

the hotel appartmants were great and i really enjoyed the holiday. the people there are really friendly and kind nothing is to much trouble for them. the resturant is also nice and has brilliant service.

Vikki N          10/10

We too stayed at the Mythos Apartments - the staff there are extremely friendly and helpful.  The apartments are cleaned every day (apart from Sunday), and the cleaners do an excellent job.  The food in the restaurant is excellent and the service is also excellent with the waiters being only too pleased to cater for your every need.  The location of the apartments is great, it is in the middle of everything you need, bars, beach, shops, but is quiet as well.  We had a great time trying the local food and lazing on the beach, together with a few trips via Tinaki Express.  A great holiday was had by all, although the hang-over from the birthday drinks was the worst I ever had!!!!  Hi to Katie and Ann - hope you got home OK. THANKS TO EVERYONE AT THE MYTHOS.

Lynne G          10/10

Just got back from another brilliant holiday at the Mythos apartments. We were there from the 19th Sep-4th Oct and the weather was brilliant 36 degrees nearly every day. We stayed in one of the new apartments and they are brilliant much more modern than the older apartments although they are also great apartments. George the owner told us that he is doing some work on the old apartments to bring them up to date with the new ones ready for next season. Apartments are kept very clean having been cleaned every day except Sundays.

Vassilli's is the apartments restaurant and they have great food and very reasonable the waiters can`t do enough for you and are very friendly and you get 10% off your meal if your staying at the Mythos and you can also get food from the pool bar through the day which is also very nice and reasonable. Pool area is great with plenty of sun beds and kept very clean. All in all a great place to go and we will be going back which will be our 3rd time at these apartments.

We met some lovely people out there and would like to say hello to Jackie, Geoff, Jenny (little mam), Danielle & Amy, and Tina, Martin & Evie and Dean, Teresa, Keiron, Ben & Gizzy, also a big hello to Costas (Conner) Costas the bar man, George the owner and everyone else see when we come back.

Lynne, Paul, Daniel, Catherine and Richard.

Nigel, elaine, rachel and           8/10

We stayed at the Mythos Apartments for the first time this September. The apartments are very nice and are in a superb location for the beach and resort centre. However, the pool and sunbathing areas are quite small. Although there are plenty of sunbeds, we thought that they were far too close together for comfort and due to the close proximity of the three apartment blocks, the pool and sunbeds were in the shade for much of the day.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar and food very good. We dined at the Vassilis restaurent to the front of the apartments and enjoyed all the meals we had there.Overall a good choice especially if you have children with you.

Apartmens need to be vacated by 12 noon but Helen was very obliging and found us an apartment to use up until 8pm. (25 euros). This made the last day very enjoyable. We look forward to going back soon.

Julie W          7/10

Staying here was good, the pool is lovely and well taken care of and there were pleanty of sun beds and the apartments are lovely and clean. The owners have a restaurant at the front which they do like you to use but it is very good quality food and the prices compare with other places. The staff they employ work so hard to make your stay a happy one and are so good with children and families.

If you have a late flight mind you do be prepared to vacate your apartment at 12pm and maybe not get picked up for the airport until 2am which can make it a very long time if you have young children but you can leave your suitcases at reception and they will be quite safe. On the whole we thought it was a very nice clean place but the feeling is the owners like you staying in the complex and spending in the snackbar/ bar and restaurant rather than trying elsewhere or using your self catering facilities and we like to do this or have a change as we do in our own country.

Amy N          10/10

you will get a great tan no probs i was only there for a week and got one, just be careful of the breeze cos u dont feel it as much.we where delayed on the way out n coming back.hope you have a great time speak soon x x

To anyone who has just stayed in the Mythos apartments is there a fridge? There has been extensions and now there are 2 bedroom apartments but I just wondered what comments people who have recently stayed had about the actual apartments? The staff and cleanliness sound fantastic.

Should be a great holiday, only got 3 weeks to go now and the weather in England is rubbish compared to Kos!! or is that anywhere but England?
Oh well thank goodness we booked early! We would be very greatful for any comments on the Mythos Apartments Thanks

myself, my best friend and her two children have just got back from our fun packed holiday, kostas behind the bar couldnt do enough for us including winning cuddly toys from the machine the the girls. the resturant in front of the apartments does fantastic food. have tried to get in for later this year but its fully booked, dissapointed or what. so i have had to make do with going back next year.

Chelle G          10/10

Myself and my partner just got back from the Mythos Apartments which were absolutely amazing in every respect .  Being a young couple we were looking for nice apartments in a quiet (but not too quiet) location.  Pool was lovely with plenty of sun loungers and not too many kids which was ideal for us, rooms were cleaned every day (except sundays) to a very high standard and the staff were amazing.  The owner George very friendly and we could not have had a better bar man (Costa's) if we tried, Costa's looked after us the whole holiday and nothing was too much trouble!  Ideal location right on the main road of Tingaki but the restaurant is at the front of the apartments which means the aprtments are in the centre of tingaki but set back so are very quiet at nights for thos wanting to avoid the noise.  Vassilli's is the apartments restaurant and is absolutely amazing we ate there every night as the food was so good, the service was impecable (thanks to our waiter: also called Costa's and his team) and the prices cheap!!  The resort itself is clean and not overly touristy, the beach is gorgeous with plenty of water sports on offer.  The bars and tavernas all lovely and plenty of trips to other areas in Kos on offer.  One thing we especially liked was that in Tingaki nobody bothers you nobody stands on street pulling you into there shops, bars or restaurants  every one is friendly and easy going and we felt very safe. We were there 3rd week in June and it was roasting hot looking to go back there in sep as couldn't have had a better holiday if we tried .

Considering this was a last minute booking, not knowing where we wanted to go. We coudnt have ended up in a better place.

Mythos Apartments are modern, very clean, fantastic location to beach, restaurants and tavernas. Not only that extremely helpful, friendly staff!  Me and my partner (now Fiance) got engaged on a Sunset Evening excursion.  Zia is beautiful and well worth the visit- spectacular views (see pic 1).  Gents if you want to pop the question, then this is the perfect place.  My Fiance proposed next to a greek church overluking a sunset sea, breathtaking!  We will definately be going back for anniversaries. Costas was a fantastic waiter to us during our stay.  I miss my cocktail-Pink Sunburn that he made haha.
Askeplepion is well worth the visit for a bit of cultural history.  Tigaki is nice and quiet with quality restaurants serving beautiful food and if you like a lively atmosphere go to 'Mascot bar.  I returned back last week 21st June 07 and im already planning when we can next go back to the Mythos Apartments. Alison

Julie L          10/10

Brilliant - just got back from Mythos Apartments on 21st June, one of the best holidays ever!  Apartments spot on, staff are sooooo friendly, nothing too much trouble. Family run, so everything just so. Very clean and comfortable.  Good location, tavernas, bars right on doorstep, good beach 100metres.  Great for cycling and walking, trip to Marmari well worth a visit.  Kos town bit further on a bike but still excellent along old coast road.  Also trip up to Zia for sunset - lovely (not on a bike though!)
Will definitely be going back as soon as can afford it!

Julie W

Hi Stephen just read your review of the Mythos appartments.

We are going in August in a 2 bedroom appartment and all the reviews we have seen have been good. Can't wait now as been working hard and not had good holiday since we had a family tradgedy in 2004. This web site is bril! cos' you can get loads of information, especially from people who have been to Kos lots of times before. Thanks for your comments Stephen

Just got back from another week from the Mythos apartments. Glad to say its as fantastic as usaul.

Costas is still the best waiter in Tingaki and continues to look after everyone with his usual charming way.

The waterpark is also well worth a visit. Cost about 20 Euros with the local excursions.

See Dimitris on the beach for watersports, Use the Ploris sunbeds for 5 Euros and get about 20% discount on the sports.

Hi,

Thanks for that Joanne.

If anyone else has been to the Mythos apartments in Tingaki recently and had one of the new apartments or an apartment with 5 beds for 5 adults please can they post on here what they are like ie:- the layout of the bed rooms and beds and anything else about them. I have been there before but it was in the older 4 bed apartment. I have put a few photo`s on for you to see. There is another bedroom with 2 single beds also which I have put on a previous posting.

Hope you all enjoy your stay at the Mythos which I`m sure you will because you couldn`t have picked a better place to stay.

Thanks in advance Lynne & Paul

Joanne R

I can't really comment on the size of the bigger apartments as ours was only one bedroom with a double sofa bed in the kitchen area it certainly wouldn't accomadate more than 4 people. I think the apartments opposite ours were the 2 bedroom ones as there seem to be more families in that side and they also had a double patio doors and a double balcony. I believe they are refurbishing them all for next year my son and his friend were in the older one which were perfectly adequate but had a very small bathroom and bunk beds in the kitchenette. I don't know if any 2 bedroom apartments are brand new. What ever you get you will love it as the location is brilliant.

Hi Joanne,

We being a family of 5 adults are going out to the mythos in 16 weeks having been there 2 years ago and really enjoyed it and it was one of the best holidays we have had, but there was only 4 of us then 2 adults and 2 children so had the older smaller apartment.

We have been told that we are having one of the new apartments as we are 5 adults and was wondering the layout of the beds and how many there are. and anything else you can tell me about the layout of the new apartment.

Thanks in advance Lynne & Paul

Just recently returned from these fantastic apartments. Couldn't have suited us better as they were right in the middle of the strip with only 100 metres from the beach. We were really fortunate to get one of the brand new ones which were spacious very nicely decorated and had a full bathroom and a decent shower, eveything was immaculate inside and around the pool area which had also been refurbished. Staff were really friendly and the resturant  VASSILIES attached to the apartments also done the best meals of all those we tried. I would definetly return to these apartment and to kos as we loved it..

Michelle G

Hi there

Just wondering if anyone can tell me where the best places in tingaki to eat out and go for a few drinks are??  Me and my partner are going in June of this year.

Lynne G

Hi Tina,

All I hope is that it is a bigger apartment I expect we`ll find out when we get there but it will still be great all that sun, sea and B52`s.

Yes it is funny we are going the same time as you again our flight is from Birmingham this time we fly at 20.30 on the 19th Sep. We are driving from Wales to Birmingham because the holiday was £400 cheaper  than if we flew from Cardiff or Bristol.

See you out there Lynne, Paul and children

Lynne G

Hi Joanna,

We went to the Mythos apartments in 2005 and we had a 2 bedroom apartment. They have a telephone number which is 003024269251.

You will love the mythos and Kos like we did and we are going back in September.

Hope this helps Lynne

Tina R

Hi Joanna

When we were there in 2004 and 2005 there were one bedroom apartments which had either a double or two single beds in the bedroom and bunk beds in the kitchen / dining area.  There were also two bed apartments which I assume had a double room and a twin room although I can't be sure of this as we have only ever stayed in the one bed apartments.

Hopefully somone else will be able to confirm this for you.

Tina

Joanna G

Hi, We're booked to go to Mythos Apartments in October but I our tour operator has changed our type of accomodation from a 2 bed apt to a one bed apt because they are saying the Mythos does not do 2 bed apartments.  Does anybody know if this is right or have a contact number for Mythos.  much appreciated as we were really looking forward to going after hearing so many good things.

Tina R

Hi Lynne

As you said, it appears that you will be in one of the new apartments.  We were a bit unsure about going again because of the new apartments and the impact they may have on room around the pool but because everything is so good there we decided to go back anyway.

Our baby girl is now almost 8 months old and will be getting on for 15 months when we go to the Mythos.

How funny that you are also going out on the 19 Sept.  Our flight leaves Gatwick at about 7 in the morning so we should be there at a decent time.

Is it really 30 weeks away? Time to hit the gym I think!

Look forward to seeing you all later this year then.

Tina

Lynne G

Hi Tina,

Congratulations on your new baby girl.
Yes we do remember both you and Martin I think you went home the day before us. We had one of the bigger room`s  in 2005 but don`t think it will be big enough for us all this time as we are also taking our 19 year old son with us and we are all in one apartment. We have heard that they are building some new apartments that are going to be bigger and looking in the Thomas Cook brochure there is a new building to the left of the pool. So hopefully they are bigger apartments.
We have also booked for the 19th September so will see you out there it`s only 30 weeks tomorrow (not that I am counting) but can`t wait.

Tina R

Hi Lynne

I am pretty sure that the largest apartments are those that have a double room and a room with two single beds, located to the right of the pool as you stand at the bar end of the pool.

However, I think they are building new apartments which are due to be opened this year but I am not sure how many they will cater for.

We were at the Mythos when you were there with your son and daughter.  Martin and I stayed the same 2 weeks as you but our flight to Gatwick left before yours.  We had made good friends with Jackie and Geoff from Hull who were on honeymoon but only stayed a week (our first week) - not sure if you remember us?!

We are going back this year on Sept 19th, as are Jackie and Geoff so maybe we will see you there.

Mary T          9/10

You can book the Katras apartments direct, they are with Sunset(thomas Cook)and they are almost identical,no pool, but they allow to use pool at Mythos. They are just across the road from Mythos next to Spiros Taverna which they also own.,see www.katras.gr

Amy N

thankyou for that info kate im hoping to be going back next year i ave missed that place this year it was weird not going back.just want to say hello to george.mite c u next year thanks again amy x

Karen H

Hi Amy, in reply to your question the pool area is still the same but some new apartments have been built and are due to be opened next year. We were there in August and when talking to Bill the barman he said they were going to build a playground next to the new apartments. We are going back in next year as we loved it so much, just a little concerened the pool will not be big enough to accommodate the new apartments.

Tina R

Well, we have taken the plunge and booked to go back to these great apartments in this lovely resort next September.  We are going with friends met last year and cannot wait.

Tina

Tina R

We have been to these wonderful apartments twice already and would love to go back next year with our daughter who will be almost 15 months old.  I know people have taken their children there before but is there anybody who could let me know how you find the apartments and resort with a baby / child.

I assume cots are proivded?

Many thanks.

Tina

Karen H

Went to these apartments in August and had a fantastic time.

I agree with the comments below about the Thomas Cook rep, our flight home was also a disgrace. The attitude of the Thomas Cook crew towards the passengers on our flight was disgusting. Two rows in the middle of the plane had been given coffee/tea before the meal had arrived as they hadn't realised we'd not been served!! We bought something from duty free and they forgot about it until i had reminded them for the second time. The staff seemed really uninterested in the service they were supposed to be providing the passengers.
The Mythos apartments were great, the staff day and night couldn't do enough for you. Bill the barman was terrific very entertaining and great with kids. The food around the pool was delicious and reasonable in price. Across the road was a bakery and the staff at the mythos didn't mind food or drink brought back in to eat around the pool .Most people met around the bar early evening to have a drink before going out for a meal and again later on until Bill closed the bar around 1.00-2.00am!!
The beach is about a 3 min walk really big  with cheap sunbeds , watersports on beach, showers.
Food was a high standard in all the restaurants and not too expensive. There were more than enough bars some having offers on Karma bar the best for cocktails 2euro!!
We had such a great time booked up for next year already can't wait.

Graham C

I'll start with the down side -  Thomas Cook Rep JODIE BALL, a complete and utter waste of time and effort, she is only interested in making commission on over priced excursions. (See my Thomas Cook Comments)

The Mythos Apartments are a well run family business, the owner his wife and the bar staff (Costa, Costa & Bill). These people are your main contacts for everything - especially the bar staff who offer help and advice on everything you will require whilst in Kos.

We stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment, the rooms are adequate with the luxury of a bath and a shower curtain (frequent visitors to Greece will know what I mean), each room has a free safety box to keep your money, passports etc. Air conditioning is extra at 12Euro per day, I think it is cheaper for 1 bedroom apartments; we were there for the last 2 weeks in August and with temperatures in the 40C+ (45C one day) it was a relief to get out of the heat for a few hours.

The pool could get a little crowded, but nothing to unbearable (the new additional apartments being built may cause overcrowding in 2007), it is easy toescape to the beach which is only a 3 minute stroll away.

There is no family entertainment at all - except for pool tables at 1 euro a go, if like me you have a couple of teenagers in tow; you will get fed up of "I'm bored", "Can I have some Euro's for the pool table". We found no family entertainment in Tingaki at all - except for kareoke - but I did say family entertainment?? The evening barman Bill (Candian Greek) is an absolute star; who keeps everyone entertained. When I was half eaten by mosquitoes, he got cream and antibiotics for me, he would not take any money for this deed (TC Rep!!Jodie Ball's help, was to tell me where to find a chemist in Kos Town???)

To summarise, I would thoroughly recommend the Mythos Apartments  to families and couples, the staff make the complex and not Thomas Cook. My other advice is to hire a jeep and get out into the mountains or the secluded beaches; which are out there, you just have to take a chance down any dirt track - mind you there is a lot of military activity in the mountains, we found some of the roads ended at military zones, all part of the holiday experience!!

Hi Hayley

Mythos apartments are right in the centre of the resort surrounded by the bars and restaurants but are not affected by noise from them.  The beach is about 3 minutes walk away.

Akti Dimmys almost right on the beach but about 5 or 10 mins away fromt the resort centre.

We have stayed at Mythos twice and will definitely go back there once our 4 week old baby is a bit older!

Hope this helps.

Sam C

We visited the Mythos Apartments in June 2004, and had such a fantastic time that we booked to go back again this year.  We have never been anywhere twice and was a little worried, but we needn't have been.  The Mythos was just as good as before, they are very clean, and all the staff are very friendly.  Will definately be going back in the future!

Sarah R

you will be ok for wheel chair access if you are on the ground floor in the 1 bedded appartments

We are also going back to the Mythos Apartments again this year. We are traveling on the 5th July and are going with family and friends. We have been several times before and realy enjoy it there as the staff are all so friendly.

Myself, my husband and my 8 year old daughter go to the Mythos apartments in August 2006. We have been to Kos before but did not stay at the Mythos. We have been very pleased by the reviews but have booked via Thomas Cook and have been told we cannot book a late check out room. This is the only thing that concerns us as we have a night flight return. Does anyone have any info relating to this subject. Thanks.

We went to tingaki on the 14september 05 -29 september 05, we had a fantastic time, the apartments were great  very clean the maids came around every day to clean, we had which i consider not a bad view of the beach from the balcony. Also the apartments had mosquito nets fitted to the doors and windows which we found so useful. On the first night we and my partner had quite a few bites, but after that they didn't really bother me but for reason thay wouldn't leave my partner alone, she got bitten all over, her daughter actually counted her bites on her legs and unbelievbly there were 107, most of them got infected, so i really recommend that you bring plenty of mosquito repllent. They sell a good one over there, its in a green spray bottle. The staff are just excellent and so friendly. We met some great people over there who we still keep in touch in, hi dave, lynne and alison. Hi rafe, sally, amy and miles.

I would definelty recommend this resort to anybody, we never go anywhere twice but we are going to return back here and stay at the mythos.

Allison C

Thanks Lynne. That's helful. Everywhere I look people have nothing but good things to say about Mythos so I think I will be booking!

Best wishes
Allison

Lynne G

Hi Allison, Me, my husband and 2 children were there from the 21/9/05 - 6/10/05 and would just like to say they are one of the best apartments to pick. The 1 bedroom apartment have a bit of a see view as the sea is to the side of them and the 2 bedroom apartments have a pool view. Hope this helps Lynne and Paul.

Allison C

Can anyone tell me if any/all of the apartments at the Mythos apartments have sea views. I'm thinking about either booking at the Mythos or Akti Dimmy's for next year.

Thanks
Allison

My husband, Martin, and I have just returned from our second holiday (21/09/05 - 05/10/05) at these great apartments in Tingaki.  We first went there last September on our honeymoon and thought the apartments and resort were so good that we did what we don't normally do and returned there this year.

I can only repeat what so many others have already said with regard to the spaciousness and standard of the accommodation, pool and bar area.  We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which had a double bed, a proper bathroom with a bath, shower attachment and shower curtain (unusual in Greece).  The bedroom had French windows and a mosquito screen leading out onto the balcony which overlooked the sea and the mountains.  There is a separate kitchen area with a hob, kettle and cupboards.  There is also a dining room table and chairs and bunk beds in this area.  Safety deposit boxes are in the rooms and you can use them free of charge.  A small gripe would be that a toaster would be useful to have.  Air conditioning costs 5 euros per night in these apartments but we didn't feel the need to use it whilst we were there. The only day the apartments aren't cleaned is Sunday.

The pool is a decent size and spotlessly clean and we never had any problems getting a sun bed even though we rarely got to the pool much before 10.30 am.  Food and drinks at the pool bar are reasonably priced compared to elsewhere and are tasty.  The restaurant at the front, Vassilis is without doubt the best in the resort and well worth a try.  The staff are all helpful and friendly including George, Louis, Costas and Ari (Antonio).

Although located in the middle of Tingaki with plenty of bars and restaurants close by, we never experienced any problems with noise at night and found the location extremely peaceful even with the French doors left open.

All in all, another wonderful holiday at the Mythos apartments and we would like to thank everyone for making it such a lovely and relaxing place to stay.  We are hoping to come back next year so see you all then.

Lynne G

Hi Graham,  Just to let you know we have just come back from our 2 week holiday at the Mythos. I`v got to say it was brilliant can`t say a bad thing about it. Some people say they are basic but I think they are better than that. They have 2 bedrooms 1 with double bed and the other as 2 singlebeds. Both bedrooms have a tv and have plenty of storrage space. They also have patio doors going out onto the balcony which has a table with 4 chairs out there. There is air con which is 10 euro a night but well worth it. There is a bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet and even a shower curtain and a wash basin. maid service is every day appart from a sunday. Kitchen with 2 ring cooker, table with 4 chairs, fridge with a small freezer compartment and kitchen eqipment in the cupboards. There is a pool which is very clean and is cleaned nightly with a small part for children. The pool bar was brill stam the bar man was mad and all the other staff were really nice and friendly aswell. and couldn`t do enough for you. We will defo go back there and I hope you have a great holiday like we did. Lynne and Paul.

Melanie M

Can someone tell me who you book through?  Do you book direct or through a travel company?

Sarah M

Just got back from 2 weeks at Mythos in Tingaki... it was perfect. The apartments were clean with loads of space... the pool was great for the kids (8 & 6) and us adults too! The beach was only a minutes walk a way and was sandy with warm shallow water...

The weather was fantastic, and it was very hot so we did need the air conditioning in the room (5 euros per day).

Loads of places to eat out, Vassilis (at front of Mythos) is best in Tingaki but also most expensive, Meni was just as good and a bit cheaper. The pool bar served food from Vassilis and we often ate here at lunch time.

All the staff at Mythos are friendly and helpful... the place had a lovely quiet family atmosphere...we would definately go back!

Debbie P

Just back from our 5th visit to mythos and we love it.We have been as a family and a couple and think it is fantastic. George and helen can't do enough for you , and all the staff are briill ilios kostas antonio and all we may have forgotten. We have booked to go back in september thats how much we love tingaki. apartments are really good size with free safety deposit safe and air conditioning at 5 euros a night( you really need this in july). cleaners are brilliant clean every day except sunday. Vassiiss taverna is the best  by far in tingaki a really good menu, even for veggies.

Lynne G

Hiya Graham, We are going to the Mythos on the 21st september and we booked with thomas cook and are flying with first  choice. Hope this helps. Lynne and Paul Griffin.

Graham C

I am looking around for my 2006 holiday - honestly!! (I like to plan ahead and grab any free kids places available) I really fancy staying at Mythos Apartments. Unfortunately I cannot find which tour operators use Mythos Apartments.I'm sure someone can help me out?

Jolene B

To the lady before my comment just to say i stayed at the Mythos last year and it is lovely the maids come about 3-4 times per week and their is a fridge some rooms have kettles the pool area is lovely and the staff are really friendly i hope you enjoy yourself.

Lynne G

Hi, Me, my husband and 2 children have booked to go to the mythos apartments for 2 weeks on the 21st september. please can you tell me anything about them ie: what the rooms are like, how often are the maids around, do they have a fridge, what is the beach like and anything else you can tell me about tingaki. Thanks in advance Lynne and Paul.

Lauren B

i need to no if there is a website for mythos apartments in tingaki

Rosalyn H

As I said before I have only been to Kos once, I am hoping to go there this year or the next. I am really putting up a note because I am trying to get hold of some friends that I met over because I have now lost contact of them. They worked at the Mythos Hotel and their names are Constass and Tony, if they can email me I would love to hear from them again. Mythos apartments has a great holiday atmosphere and I am positive that I will visit there again!!

Jolene B

ME AND MY BOYFRIEND JUST CAME BACK TWO WEEKS AGO FROM MYTHOS AND IT WAS FANTASTIC VERY CLEAN AND RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING IT WAS GREAT. THE OWNER WAS REALLY CANNY UNTILL MY BOYFRIEND WAS SICK ALL OVER THE APARTMENTS BUT IT WAS STILL AN EXCELLENT HOLIDAY AND VASSILIES IS A GREAT PLACE TO EAT.

Chris N

Just returned from 2 weeks at Mythos any we can't fault it. It not only met but exceeded our expectations. We had a 2 bed apartment which was really spacious and well equipped - the balcony was huge too. Both bedrooms had TV and aircon (10 Euros per night for aircon, 5 Euros for 1 bed apartments). Rooms are cleaned every day except Sunday and clean sheets/towels twice per week. The rooms are double glazed so we had no problems with noise at night. The pool area and pool bar are brilliant and very clean and our 2 children loved it. The Vassilis taverna which is part of the same complex is good but do try the other restauants/tavernas in Tingaki - we recommend the Mediteranee and the Meni Beach Hotel. If you want a typically Greek taverna with the waves lapping only a few feet away, try the Pharos right at the end of the seafront at Kamari. While you're there, spend some time wandering around Kefalos at the top of the hill to get a feel of the real Greece. Best bar in Tingaki - the Cosy Bar next door to the Mythos. If you're going with Thomas Cook, forget their excursions and car hire - book with one of the many independent travel agents in Tingaki - much cheaper. We used Theokritos Travel for car hire and got it very cheap.

Zoe

i have jus had a great holiday. i stayed at the mythos and all the bar staff are so friendly, espeacially harris and louis. it was really hot there and the food at their resturant is lovely, we ate there almost every nite. the rooms are lovely and clean and there is allways something going on to make you smile. i had a wonderful time and hopefully going bakc nxt year to see louis and harris!!

Amanda G

hi there
could any1 tell me where the apts are and what tour operator they use
happy holidays
mandy

Jen M

To Sue and Andy

What a coincidence we are also going to Mythos on the 28th and have two children aged 5 & 9, maybe we will bump into you by the pool or in the bar. Where are you travelling from! We could be on the same flight. If you get any good info on places to go and where to eat I would be really grateful if you could pass it on. Thanks Jen & Neil

Susan N

We are going to Mythos apartments flying out on the 28th July. This is our third year and we absolutely love it. Apartments have been very clean, staff friendly and helpful. There are safe deposit boxes in the rooms which are free. The pool is clean and suitable for children of all ages including the fathers! You can change money at the tourist information centre/tour guide across the road. The restaurant that is part of Mythos is one of the best places to eat in Tingaki. George and his mother who run the apartments cannot be more helpful and the bar staff always very friendly. We have two children aged 13 and 15 they made friends very easily.

Hannah W

We came back just yesterday from Kos. Mythos apartments were top notch! Very spacious rooms and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Not a large complex so it was great as there was ALWAYS a sun lounger free by the pool! No reserve of towels for a change. Mainly English families stay at this resort. Not too far from Kos town either which was great for access to Bodrum Turkey for day trips! Air Con cost us just €5 (5 Euros) a day. Only annoying thing is when you come home, you have to queue outside Kos airport. We were there for 1hour before getting in!!! Luckily it was a night flight otherwise we would have roasted in the heat as there are no shades to protect you. If you want to contact us, we'll be more than happy to answer any questions/comments you may have. E-mail Hannah+Simon at flat29a@tesco.net Have a nice holiday!!!!

Kim S

Noticed you are going to the Mythos apts soon Andy, we are going in Spetember so can you let us know what you thought, when you get back, Have a lovely holiday

Debra K

Mythos apartments were lovely. We have been to Tingaki several times but they are by far the best ! Friendly and helpful staff, fab english breakfast but shoot the cockeral!

Gwen B

We have just returned from 2 lovely weeks in Kos. We stayed at the Mythos Apartments in Tingaki. The apartments were large enough for a family of four, and kept really clean and tidy by the two maids. The pool and surrounding area was just as clean and tidy. The location was great, close enough to all amenities, but back enough from the road to not have much traffic noise. The only noise we had was from the cockrels, chickens and turkeys in the field next to us, but it just added to the atmosphere of the place. I highly recommend Rodini's for a huge, tasty full english breakfast (itsabout 8 minute walk from Mythos).
Kos is a super island and we are definately going to return asap!

Rozy H

we went to the mythos and its the best!!!!ive never been to greece before but my experiences at mythos have convinced me to go again.definitely!!i met a couple of friends there.i made great friends with the staff and have managed to keep in touch.everyone is lovely there and i really want to go next year and again and again.GO TO MYTHOS IF YOU WANT A GOOD TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hannah L

mythos is the best!!!!!!!!!!we have been to greece many times and i have to say the mythos apartments was one of the best places we have stayed!!!!!!!we met some good friends there and all the staff were very friendly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!we have tried to keep in touch with the people we met there and they try there hardest to text us in english and they are doing very well!!!!!!!!!we hope to go back there very soon.

Deanne C

The apartments are ideally situated near to the beach and the main road bars and resaurants. All the local people are very friendly. We have been back there eight times now and have made some wonderful friends. Go and see Ireni and George at the 7 Days, Lefty at Margarita Bar and Vassilis at the Rondevous.

Kerry S

when i was in tiangaki i stayed at the mythos apartment and it's the best hotel i stay in. i've been going to tingaki now for 3 years and it's the cleanest and most friendly place i stayed. the pool is very good with a pool bar and snack bar open. the air con is cheap and the hotel is in a very good location and i'll be back there next year.

Gemma F

We just got back from the Mythos apartments and they were fantastic. The staff were really friendly and the facilitis were really good. There is a great pool with sunloungers and an excellent pool bar, snack bar and restauruant at the front. The main street is just outside with many bars and tavernas but it is not noisy. The beach is a 2 minute walk away and you can hear the sea at night, lovely! The apartments have air conditioning (extra cost). I would definately recommend staying there.

Gemma :o)

Jennifer W

Mythos Apartments were of a high standard, although in the centre of the resort it was quiet at night. The facilities were excellent, free safe in room, thick mattresses on sunbeds around lovely pool, friendly staff who couldn`t do enough for you. Rooms were clean, spacious and light and airy with good views. The pool bar and restaurant were also excellent.
