Recommended by the Wonderful Artemis Hamam What a wonderful place!, having been all over the island to eat the Dana is right at the top of the list, all food freshly cooked and with a really good twist on the usual tavernas, owner and staff so friendly, and prices excellent. If you're looking for a speical place try the Dana you won't be dissapointed!!

Wonderful - Antonio and Nicholas as friendly and welcoming as usual. Wonderful food, ambience etc. How can you improve on lunch in the sun with a fantastic selection of Greek authentic cuisine, or dinner. Definitely the best! Must recommend the Cylops Eye (burger on aubergine with tomato sauce and fetta with chips to die for) or Gypsy plate (pork, chicken, peppers, onions etc). Wonderful - wouldn't go anywhere else!

Fantastic food, great staff and service.  Try the Chicken Provinsal, Chicken Robert for an evening meal.  The Gyros snack for a daytime.  Hello to Antonio and all the staff and thanks for such wonderful food.  You can find the Dana on the beach path just a minutes walk to the left from the main square. Hope to see you all soon.

My wife and I had a very friendly welcome to this taverna; we sat down ordered our food, that’s where the friendliness stopped, I tried to converse with the owner/waiter he was not interested in conversation, his attitude was I got you in, you have ordered, now I am on the prowl for more passing custom. Food was Ok. Never went back.

Tried the Dana Restaurant only once on our second day. Staff kept hassling us for our order even though we said we wanted a couple of drinks first.  Then 1 of the 2 meals wasn't what we ordered.

Just back from a week in Tingaki and ate at Dana a couple of times.  Staff are very friendly and always stop for a chat, service was good and food of the same standard as most restaurants in the area.  As a typical Scotsman the best part was that as we were using the sun loungers during the day you qualified for a 20% discount off your meal, not just the first but every evening meal.   Also interesting watching young Alexi chatting up the young girls while serving the meals.

 

Just back from Tingaki (18th June ) and another brilliant time was had !!! Ate at Dana most evenings.....excellent food and brilliant service as usual even though Petros is no longer working there. Antonio now has his brother helping out and providing you with the same excellent service you expect at the Dana....BRILLIANT !!!!!

Irenka please try the Dana for a truly excellent meal and service....and you can take as long as you like with your meal.........as Antonio says" in Greece it is always SLOWLY SLOWLY". Send regards to him from Paul and Brenda

Well worth a visit to see Antonio and Petros who will keep you amused whilst you enjoy the excellent food from a vast menu. Try the crab for starters....mmmm most meals are served with chips,rice and fresh vegatables.Very reasonably priced.... you will not be dissapointed !!

My husband and I went there in August 2005 we really enjoyed our food, and Antonio and his staff are very friendly, I have been many times in the past and would recommend it to anyone, my daughter now goes ther too when she is on holiday in kos, I have photos of Antonio when his hair and mine was not so white!

Dana is about 10 minutes walk from the Marianna, we have just stayed there. Dana is on the sea front and Marianna is back on the main drag.

Outstanding food, service and price, this place should be top of your places to visit list whilst in Tingaki

Best food my hubby and I had in Tingaki on our holiday there last week, the food was as great as the service they were very friendly and happy! I had the prawns which were so well priced and very good sized. (also Mickies next door was fantastic for cocktails as Dana and Mickies compliment each other..)

Lovely friendly atmoshphere. Owner Antonio very helpful and always got time to pass the time of day with you. Petros (cheeky Bugga) in charge of serving the most wonderful cocktails, we sampled 18 in our 7 days stay and all were gr8. Also a mention for the other waiter Mikalos, cannot speak as good english as the others but still very friendly. We tried a few dishes and all were excellent and very good value for money. Steak and chicken shnitzel that melts in your mouth.and delicious greek style tatties. My friend had the Lamb chops one night, I told her she wouldn't eat all in front of her,(4 lamb steaks chips and salad) Crepes with ice cream and honey to die for. Antonio and Dana restaurant where the 1st on Tingaki and that was 22 years ago, so that says it all. Thanks guys for some wonderful food even tho we piled on the calories.

MY BOYFRIEND AND I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM 2 WEEKS IN TINGAKI.DURING OUR STAY,WE VISITED THE DANA SEVERAL TIMES.AS WE FOUND THE ATMOSTPHERE WARM AND FRIENDLY.WE RETURNED ON QUITE A FEW OCCASIONS DURING THE DAY AND THE EVENING AS WE FOUND THE FOOD AND DRINKS FIRST CLASS.SPECIAL THANKS TO THE BARMAN,I THINK HIS NAME WAS PETROS.WHO MADE THE BEST TEQUILA SUNRISE EVER.GO AND TRY ONE!

WE WENT TO THE DANA RESTAURANT MOST DAYS WITH OUR THREE YOUNG CHILDREN.THE FOOD WAS EXTREMELY GOOD AND EXCELLENT VALUE.
ANTONIS AND PETROS WERE OUR WAITERS MOST OF THE TIME AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ALSO HELPED AMUSE THE CHILDREN,WHICH MADE IT A VERY RELAXING TIME FOR ME AND MY HUSBAND.I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT FOR FAMILIES AND COUPLES ALIKE.

We went to the Dana a couple of times, but didn't feel like eating too much and we totally messed up their serving system! They didn't seem to like the fact that we only had starters and puds (& drinks). They made us feel a bit inferior, but surely our money is as good as any?

This is value for money. The food is good, lots of choice for the most fussy of people and when it comes it is piping hot. The waiters are friendly.
I recommend the meatballs - they are lovely.

We really enjoyed the food here, Mikalos the waiter was very friendly and nice. We met up with him a couple of times after he had finished work. Nice food and atmosphere.
