Hi, we are staying here in July this year and are not flying home until 4.a.m., and wondered what time you have to check out. If anyone knows that would be great, Cheers.
Anyone know what time checkout is from here, we have an early morning return flight, Cheers.
Just returned from Marianna studios, and on balance we can't say it was a bad place. We arrived at 5.30 a.m. and our hearts sunk when we saw the size of the appartments. I would say they would be ok for two people but are a real struggle for three. The actual size as shown on their own plans are 9m by 3.3m, and the bathroom which is an experience in itself even by Greek standards is no more than 2m by 2m, and no matter how careful you are there is no way to avoid flooding the place with even the shortest rinse down. Nice balcony area to relax at night time, but the mosquitos tended to be a bit brutal to everyone staying there we noticed, apparently it's a bad year for them . You can always find a bed round the pool at any time and there is a relaxed atmosphere, and good food service from the poolside bar, although the drinks are a bit pricey, Strongbow 4euro a bottle, coke 2euro etc. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help, and the bar on the front stays open till 2 a.m. A late checkout can be bought for 20 euro, but get them early as there aren't many to be had.Overall a fair place to stay but wouldn't go out of our way to go there again.
Great food, good prices, nice people, definately worth a visit
Outstanding food, service and price, this place should be top of your places to visit list whilst in Tingaki
As in earlier reviews, uninterested staff, extremely slow service and avereage food. We waited an incredible 35 minutes for our drinks despite being the only people in there at 6.30. We thought this might be due to ordering a few milk shakes for the kids, but 35 minutes ? The food came 15 minutes later so we waited nearly an hour for our meal, which was average at best and served by a non smiling / speaking waitress. Give it a miss .
We found prices in Tingaki restaurants much cheaper than Zante last year, drinks can be found from 1.80 euro a pint for the local stuff and the avereage main course costs around 6 euros. Tingaki is one long road leading down to a very good beach with plenty of beds available all day, with a pretty much constant breeze. Water drops to about 3 ft deep pretty quickly but stays like that for a long way out, ideal for kids. The pictures show the views up and down the road from about half way down to the beach.
I booked my trip with Theokritos travel, on the left hand side of the street about 100 yards before the beach for 25 euros. I went on a Friday which is not market day but there are so many shops there who needs a market? The coach arrived on time and there were only about 20 people on it that day, the rep gives all the advice needed for the trip whilst travelling to the port.I went on the hydrofoil which takes about half an hour, the boat takes about an hour and a half.Went straight through Turkish passport control without any wait, and straight into the bazaar. You need to be ready for the incredible pestering you will get from the guys in the shops and bars, and take it in your stride.Amazing bargains to be had, i.e. 7 Lacoste / Polo polo shirts for 20 euros, fake but very good ones, 3 pairs of jeans, Lacoste, D&G, Boss, Levi for 40 euros, excellent copies too. When buying these wait until after 3 o'clock as the prices will drop to these prices in the last hour before all the boats go back to Kos at 4 o'clock. As someone mentioned before it's not a good idea for a woman to travel alone cos they just wont leave you alone, the hassle was enough for me being a bloke, not the sort of place you will enjoy dragging the kids round either, but this should not put you off taking this great trip and the location and scenery is stunning as you will see in the pictures in which one of them some handsome chap got in the way of my shot . Great day out, don't miss it !
Dana is about 10 minutes walk from the Marianna, we have just stayed there. Dana is on the sea front and Marianna is back on the main drag.
Top stuff, the breakfasts were double the size of anything else in Tingaki when we went in July, and the old Australian girl who was waitress there was a great laugh!
