Go to the Cosy Bar once and I promise you will return, get a seat at the bar and have a chat with owner Dimitri and his hard working wife Jacqueline. He his Greek and she is Dutch although both speak very good English.Hear Dimitri tell his funny stories whilst he takes his" medicine".
Hi Steve, Just back from Tingaki, our 4th visit and I too must stress to visit Louise at Theokritis Travel..( about 6 shops up from fountain on left hand side)her husband Nico drives the coach on excursions and she is very knowledgable about all places around the islands, they are the cheapest for excursions and offer 3 for 2.We did Volcanic island at Nyssaross and have done the 3 island cruise twice now,I'm sure your children would love the waterpark, and also I would recommend the hydrofoil to Rhodes for a day out, they also offer good rates of exchange. We always hire bicycles from Nico's (2 doors down -next to Munchies) for the week as it is so easy to get around by bike and I'm sure the beach will relax and chill you all out as well ....Get the bus into Kos town and from there you can get buses or boats to almost anywere on the island. There are cash machines at the bottom of the main street (fountain)right hand side and around the corner -left hand side . Enjoy yourselves..... Yammas !!
Hiya Graham....we've been going to Tingaki for the last five years, sometimes twice a year. There are two ATM machines in Tingaki, one on the main street near the fountain ( Meni Hotel )and the other is around the corner toward the salt plains. I do not know about being charged when you withdraw from your own account. I usually use travellers cheques which i change at Theodakis Travel on the main street. Louise who runs the office is British and very knowledable , she also runs some very good value for money excursions as her husband Nico drives the coach on them.
Just back from Tingaki (18th June ) and we found that Ikarus has changed hands, the owner has moved to a cafeteria in Zipari, the first village on the road from Tingaki to Kos. The new owners say that the kitchen staff are still the same tho..... this i couldn't tell if true or not.......such a shame !!!
Just back from Tingaki (18th June ) and another brilliant time was had !!! Ate at Dana most evenings.....excellent food and brilliant service as usual even though Petros is no longer working there. Antonio now has his brother helping out and providing you with the same excellent service you expect at the Dana....BRILLIANT !!!!!
