Ramari Beach Hotel

Accommodation in Psalidi

We (family of 4) stayed for 2nd and 3rd weeks in Sept 2006, and had a really good time.

Big problem is the main pool which is a minimum of 2 meters deep, and has very slippery main steps (as is the pool area in general, one of the entertainment staff told me that on average 2 people slip over each week in the high season). However this is a salt water pool, so it is very easy to float without any movement, so it does make it easier if you are not a strong swimmer. There is a smaller pool (aprox 25m x 20m) which is also salt water, but is no more that 1 meter deep.

The hotel itself is clean and well presented. The rooms are a bit spartan, and don’t have much drawer or wardrobe space, but are comfortable enough and we had plenty of room even with four beds. All the staff were very friendly and all spoke excellent English. Reception sorted what problems we did have very efficiently, and the bar staff were always happy to chat and share a joke, and didn’t enforce the 2 drinks per serving rule. We thought the entertainment staff  were ok, and most spent time chatting to us, and organised enough activities to keep everyone amused if that’s your thing. Both the kids used the Kids club and were very happy,  Restaurant was good but without air con did get hot on some days. The food was good too, with the Tuesday Chinese night being the best, although our youngest, who doesn’t try to many new things, did find it hard to find anything he liked on a few nights (no kids menu available).

Million dollar question, if someone was thinking of going to this Hotel and asked if it was worth it, I’d say yes, just be careful of the pool

the food was great here but we were with a mate who is a dead fussy eater and we had to take her out to macdonalds a few times. the alcoholic cocktails they served were disgustin but the kids ones were nice. we had two rooms and we had ants in both at one point. our air conditionin broke and it took a day for them to sort it out then it broke again. there werent many english people mostly germans. the pool was clean but it was 2m deep so not really suitable for non swimmers

I went in October 2002. Had a great time there. Unfortunately, I kept in touch with the 'dead fit' German - Robert. He stayed at my house for 6 weeks this year, ran up a £360 phone bill and stole my credit card details. Let this be a lesson to you all!!!!! This does not reflect on the hotel though in any way.

Its actually the Raimra Beach hotel , but thats close enough . we went in late summer an it was boss, really clean , nice pool, good watersports. i was really impressed for it being a family holiday , the music and disco things were great , loads of places to chill out with your mates or hide from parents and plus all that: all the lads that work there are dead fit , especially robert and gigi the entertainers and a couple of bar staff , Bek x
