In October 2004 my wife Mary and I spent 10 enjoyable days at the hotel, which is more of a resort area with a good sized pool, tennis court,a beach with clear water just 100 yards away, and adjacent hilly walking trails. It is on a convenient bus route, approximately mid-way between the Town and the must visit Thermo hot spring.
The hotel, besides its well kept grounds, provides a good clean, and comfortable accommodation. We found Management and Staff members to be friendly, courteous and always looking at ways to make our stay a memorable one. The food was good, daytime pool activities were provided, as was some night time entertainment. Star ratings aside, we have traveled fairly extensively world, and believe that for a friendly, relaxing, Greek island oriented vacation, this hotel is well worth-while being considered.
We are looking forward to returning there for our fall vacation. Happy vacationing to all.
I have to agree with the comments sent in by Alice Smith. We had a great time at this hotel. We will certainly book again next year.
I am suprised at the few comments on this page, however, It was a mixed nationality who all got on very well together. We made some very nice friends during our stay and look forward to hopefully see them again next year.
We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at this hotel.the carpets have been replaced. They have installed satalite in the TV room. There is also a pool table and the Sunshine Club for the children. The Manager Christina, and Owner George, Are in attendance everyday and welcome your comments, good or bad,(not that we heard any bad comments)The best way to book your holiday we have found is to find your flight on Excelairways (usually Wednesday) on the internet or via Airflights Direct and then book your accommodation direct with the hotel on reservation@archipelagohotel.gr
We have been to this hotel every year since 2001.
There are seven in our party and everyone thinks it is great. The food and staff are excellent.Remember it is a Greek Island, so don't expect to get a like by like four star rating with the UK, likewise the USA four star rating is far superior than ours.Chill out, this is Greece, laid back, friendly and good value for money. We are off there again on Wednesday 6/10/04 for two weeks and looking forward to it.
this is by UK standards no where near a four star hotel. We were dissapointed with the quality not even a hair dryer was available in the room. The bar had no normal type of mixers for the sprits ie Tonic or tomato juice etc. There was a power cut while we were there and we found that a number of the emergency lights did not work, the carpet in the hall way's was torn with pieces missing the hot water was only tepid it took some 20 minutes to fill the bath with the hot supply only the room furniture was of a poor standard and it lacked draw space. If the hotel management paid as much attention to the building maintenance as they do to the landscape then they may have had a better hotel. In my opinion this hotel is in need of major refurbishment. The staff however were very good the food was OK but we will not be returning.
We are going to this hotel for one week in October on an all inclusive base. Will let you Know more by mid October 2003
I am considering booking a holiday I have seen advertised, and would like to know of anybodys comments on this hotel. I would appreciate your help.
Thanks
