Hi all

as we are going to spend our summer holiday in june at this Hotel- Kos Grecotel Imperial -we are looking for some fotographs of the hotel.
We visited the grecotel site but there we find always the same pictures

We have a 4 year old child, i think the hotel has good facilities for little children

so if anyone has some other pictures, comments or reviews for this hotel, we would like to recieve them on the email adress nikita.sonneville@pandora.be

thank you very much

I went for two weeks in August 2004 together with my Wife, two Sons of 18 and 16 and Daughter of 11. The Hotel is located a bit out of the way but a regular bus service will take you into Kos Town about 10 minutes away. Thompson and Grecotel rate the Hotel as 5 star; my family and everybody we spoke to while on holiday felt the Hotel was definitely not 5 stars, but a very good 4 star. That said the accommodation and food were very good, the many swimming pools were fantastic and the gardens were beautiful. The whole complex itself was very clean and I was extremely impressed. The beach area in front of the Hotel has a small area of imported sand the remainder is shingle and pebble. The water sports activities I thought were expensive; there is a far better and cheaper water sports club only 200m further along the beach. For those looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in beautiful and clean surroundings then you cannot go wrong. For those with older children, a word of warning! The children’s clubs are low key, and the teenager club I would suggest is none existent. After the first few days the novelty of being on holiday started to wear off for my two boys. The evening entertainment is very low key indeed with nothing for teenagers to join in with. There is only one pool table for the whole complex and that was tucked away in a tiny room; there is no table tennis, archery, pistol or rifle shooting, the animation team were sadly lacking and made very little attempt to get people to join in with any of the other activities. When I made enquires about it I was told, “We don’t do that sort of thing, this is a 5 star hotel.” I have no problem with that; except for the fact, if I’m not mistaken the brochure does states that there are plenty of activities to do!! (I’m not alone as many others voiced the same opinion.) As it was my boys made friends with other teenagers and we all had a great time. I have plenty of photos of the hotel and the island; if anybody is interested and wants to see them I will keep an eye on the comments and reply to you. (You will have to leave an E-mail address or some method of contact however.)

We were there Whitsun week and the hotel is fantastic. The staff, the food, the accommodation were all great.

I visit was marred slightly by the four-day visit of Greek TV Channel Ant1 broadcasting live from the hotel which was a bit out of order.

A couple of pics for you on this link

Stayed at the new Imperial in Sept 2002 for our Silver Wedding. Staff, food and hotel all excellent as you expect from Grecotel. Location is isolated although buses stop immediately outside the hotel to Kos town. Small car hire shop with good rates and 'supermarket' opposite the hotel. Karting Track also. Try the new Taverna about 15 mins walk away towards Kos town for good cheap food and drink.

My family are staying at the Kos Imperial in July 03, along with my sister's family. We have four teenage boys between us, aged 15 and 17 years. I know there is a teenagers club - does anyone know if this is any good? I have heard the hotel is lovely.

My Family and I have booked the above hotel for 2 weeks in July 03. The artist impression and brochure comments look good but has anyone out there been there? and what is it like for young families? Any pics/comments would be appreciated. Regards Geoff
