Just Visited Caravan with my Filipina wife & step Daughters
Hassan is a really lovely guy , He worked with Filipinos many years
ago & was trained in Karate by a Filipino so it brought back nice
memories for him.
Nothing was too much trouble for him & whilst having a lunch there asked
if he could make us fresh grilled fish in the evening ... He jumped on his motor
& went to the harbor for the fish . It was very tasty & perfectly grilled
Great food & great host would recommend it to everyone
well yet again hassan was the perfect host we were in kos for my 40th birthday on the 1st of august . there were 21 of us eating and all the other tables were full and hassan and his family still produced the best food on kos. by far the best place to eat in kos town and by far the nicest host see u next year my friend this time just the 4 of us not 21
Back after spending a week in Kos Town.
Looking forward to see Hassan again, 25th July, thats when we will be there!
Visited Hasan twice again last week. he has had a hard hot summer and was ready for closing and a go at the Ouzo bottle - then more "old friends" turned up unexpectedly so it looks like the Ouzo is on hold for a week or two. He was still in fine form and the food was up to its usual good standard. Can't go far wrong here.
Visited Hassan at the Caravan several times on our recent Holiday to Kos, I would recomend the Chicken bekri meze, which is a sort of sweet chilli chicken or pork, Hassan asks how spicy you like it. Hassan is one of the nicest people you could meet, he always makes you welcome we sort of worked our way through his menu over a fortnight and were never disapointed with our meals. He often buys you your last drink. He has loads of good reviews on the internet but has never been on it himself and doesn't do technology but is thankfull for the support everyone gives him. Please go and try for yourself you will not be disapointed although if you are not staying in the imediate area you may find the Caravan hard to find as it is not on the main road, believe me it is worth the effort.Other nice dishes to try are Mousaka, Beef Stiffado which is Beef in a tomato and onion saauce and the various souvlaki which are barbecued Meats or Giant Shrimps
We visited Hassan's restaurant 4 times and enjoyed every meal, especially the Saganaki, nothing was too much trouble for Hassan, he made us feel very welcome, he even gave us a free morning coffee when we visited him to give us information on where to visit on the island. I definately recommend this restaurant.
The food was beautiful, Hasan always tried his best to make sure our meal was enjoyable. It's always busy and he works on his own so try to be patient. Hasan I miss your cooking.
Two more visits in June 2007. Still excellent - what more an I add. Hasan is a delight. The fact that the restaurant was still packed at 1030 says it all
Having read through the comments of last year. The quality of food and service has continued. It took us a couple of days to find this place but was well worth the effort. We had meals on two separate occasions, the first we had Stuffed Tomatoes(Tomatoe & Pepper on the Menu) and the Spicy Bekre Meze Pork & Chicken. On the second visit I had tomato soup to start and we both had the Bekre Meze but my wife had the mild version, we ventured to a sweet of yoghurt with Honey, the portion of honey was very generous. The welcome from Hassan was one of warm from the first second we appeared at the front of the Restaurant. This welcome continues throughout your meal. Very many thanks Hassan, long may you continue in business.
Visted again in October 06.No change from our last visit. Just excellent
we had 2 meals last year went back in augest hassan said welcome home how did he remember us but as usual it was great how he keeps going all night il never know see you nxt year hassan
Made most welcome, food first class, can not fault anything. Just agreed with everybody elses comments especially Tony's (who recommended us to the Caravan). Thank you Tony.
just back from kos, and may i thank you hassan, for a great time, if your staying in the captains hotel, as you walk out of the hotel turn right and hundred meters down the road is the cara van, you will not find a better taverna in kos town, the food is out of this world and the prices are so cheap its unbeliveible, hassan makes you feel like a member of his family and nothings to much trouble, please please please, if your in kos town its worth the effort to find this taverna, a truely authentic greek eating expieriance awaits you, thank you hassan and see you next year
Just got back from Kos and I have to agree with the comments posted on this Forum, Hassan is the perfect gentleman and the food is very very good, 10/10
Just got back from Kos today. Found Caravan this year after failing to find it last year!
No change - simply excellent. Hasan performs miracles managing to find time for everyone even at the busiest times. No wonder it is always packed
Caravan is a very nice place, and Hassan is the main reason for that! He is a lovely man who is fun to discuss Kos and tourism with.
Visited again twice last week: nothing has changed. There is still the same happy atmosphere with Hasan doing the impossible by looking after a full restaurant and still having time to chat. One thing did strike me that not everybody mentions: it is a very very good restauarant, The food is always first class - perhaps the best we have had in Kos - and you get the fun from Hasan as a bonus. No wonder this little place on a side street is always full when most were empty and others had given up and closed down..
HOW TO FIND THE CARAVAN RESTAURANT
words can not sum the caravan up, out of this world , fantastic awesome dont even come close, if your kos town please it worth the effort to find the caravan as a very special greek dining experiance awaits you.
