I've been on this tour 3 times and each time we've gone to different places and seen different things. I always book my trips with Louise and Nikos at Theokritos Travel in Tingaki. Excellent value for money, the guides have always been friendly and informative - especially the one last year, I think his name was Constantios. The price includes lunch in a lovely restaurant in Kamari Bay with a good choice of food and reasonably priced drinks. The Island Tour is a great way to explore the island if you don't drive and it makes all the difference going with such a friendly and professional company. I will certainly be booking again this year!!
Go on this trip. Fantastic value, air conditioned coach driven very safely by the owner! Louise is English and is in the office every day 7 days a week and speaks other languages besides English. She's married to Nicos and he's the coach driver! Nothing is too much trouble for them and their trip round the island is fantstic. They employ english speaking guides who are very friendly and informative. Lunch is in with the price of the ticket you get a wide choice and they have chosen a nice clean restaurant which is inexpensive when you buy your drinks. By going on the island tour you not only see places you might not have ever visited you get a real taste of the island and also learn some of it's cultue and history Fantstic if it's the only trip you do do this one and early in your holiday as you'll see places you may think you want to visit at a later date. Many places on the island can be visited by bus quite cheapkly all the buses go from Kos Town if you are staying in Tingaki so you need to go there and then you can travel out to other places.
Probably one of the best island tours we've done. Costas was brilliant - told us all we needed to know and more! The Askeiplion was amazing - absolutely huge! Definately a kodak moment!
The tour was very good. We visited several locations on the Island with a good guide who gave an insight into the history and way of life on Kos. The pretty village of Zia was very nice and had some superb views of the island from this high mountain point. We also got a plate of Greek yogurt and honey at a Taverna, which we were told was exclusive to their tour. We stopped for lunch at the resort of Mastichari, which was also included in the price and you could choose your meal from quite a varied selection. The coach was air conditioned which was often a nice respite from the heat of the day. We got back to the apartments about 5.30pm.

We enjoyed it although the coach ride up the mountain from Kardemena to Pyli was a bit hairy, very winding narrow road with huge pot-holes that have been there since the war! Zia was fantastic, great shops and a view to die for. Would recomend it.
great day out, we loved it!!
it was a good day out
