Just returned back to wet and gloomy Britain after an amazing week in Kos. The first night we arrived Morag and I (my cousin) discovered Mythos Bar....we arrived looking more than a little bedraggled after travelling for over 24 hours....we were immediately made to feel welcome by Elias who was an immensely funny, entertaining and attentive host. Needless to say we spent every night, bar one, in Mythos enjoying Elias's hospitality. Thank you so much...you made our holiday memorable and...be warned....we will be back! Stayed in Kefalos from 8/8/13 until 23/8/13, stayed at the Hermes Hotel, this was a superb location for us as the views from here (up the hill) were absolutely incredible, the owners Sebastian and Diana were superb hosts, and all of their staff were second to none. Wherever you went in the hotel it was spotlessly clean, the bar cafe outside by the pool served a great selection of food, snacks, drinks, suites etc to suit everyone, and all at very reasonable prices.At the hotel bar they did not have any cider which i like to drink but one mention of this to Diana and lo and behold, true to her word it was there the very next day, how is that for service.Nothing was ever too much trouble for them in their quest to make sure that everyone enjoyed their holiday. Each day and night myself and my wife Mary went down into the village for our meals, everywhere we went was great, a special mention goes to Captain Johns, Sebastians, B52, Marias and another lovely place who"s name slips my mind, name begins with the letter "G" not far from Captain Johns, all of these places were great, cheap and very large portions which i could never finish. Bars and Tavernas aplenty, all very good, do all they can for you, but our personal favourite which we went to every day and night was the Memory Cafe Bar, still missing this place yet, it was so good. Visited Kos town and found it to be very busy with loads of stalls, eating places, waiters doing their best to get you in, not my scene but the town itself was beautiful, easy to get lost though as we did and had to retrace our steps, but a good day nevertheless, because it is so high up it was so very very hot. The boats and yachts in the marina in Kos town shows how the other half live, (oh to be rich). All in all, this was my sort of holiday, perfect for relaxing, strolling about and in my case, just lazing about, if i had to have any complaint it would have to be that our lovely hotel was 15 minutes walk up the hill which in the heat seemed longer. Hope to go back again sometime which i am pretty sure i will.

i would visit kos solely to go to this bar and associate with this couple and their son again! brilliant all round bar, brilliant all round couple. catered to my wee 1 thru the day, bringing her ice cream, plates of watermelon, great family enviroment with bobby and her husband interacting with every1. internet access, cater to music demands and happy to russtle up custom cocktails. they effortlessly extend same welcome to all. at nite they gather a good crowd and hav two neighbouring pubs which r lively. highlite of my hol.

Memories bar sounds great, can't wait to try out a few (or more!)  of the cocktails Will be there next week, Yay!!!!

Just got back friday 17/07/09 after 2 weeks of heaven, yannis & poppy are best hosts & have the best bar cafe in Kefalos.

Yanni and Poppy are a fantastic couple who make some amazing cocktails for just 2.50 euros each! We could'nt believe that they were selling draught Mythos and 1.50 euro a litre!

the couple who run the bar are very friendly and hand out plenty of free shots. the bloke is hilarious always had us laughing. the music was a refreshing change. if you like cocktails you will love jani's v****a.

Great = especially for us 30-40+ers who remembered all the music videos! Also good for kids ... they loved the pond and the terrapins - though not sure the terrapins loved the kids!! Free mini drinks offered at various points over the evening.

We went here almost every night for two weeks we were in kos, the waiter 'illios' was so friendly and charming, and you could get some lovely cocktails.

Played all english music, which is great after a while as the greek music gets a little tedious.

Prices are reasonable, well worth visit.

Went here every night on the way back to our hotel. Run by a family, it was a lively place to sit and relax, tried most cocktails on the list and all were lovely... from what I can remember. Play 90's music- which is great to sit and sing along too while the sun sets!
