We just got back from kefalos and staggered into manos at all hours of the morning!
The guys in there were so sweet and polite no matter how pissed up we were!
The food was always freshly cooked and delivered to our table-more like a restaurant really.
Deffo recommend it but maybe not in the day..waitress was a bit slovenly and food not so good.
The place to go if you,re on a budget! Enjoy!
Try the chick pea croquettes they are gorgeous the only place we found them. With a greek salad, tzatziki and a glass or two of vino for ya lunch right on the beach..what more could you ask for!?
Kefalos beach is very stony in parts and the water is freezing!
We found a lovely quiet section with just a few sunbeds and hardly any kids just down from the laundry and syrtaki restaurant.
The sweet old greek lady gives u cake evry day and an elastic band to tie your towel down with as when we went there were gale force winds like i,ve never known anywhere in greece! Dont know if this is the norm for kefalos but dont try to read a newspaper it will be straight in the sea!
Buy a mask and snorkel and feed the fish it,s great fun if you can stand the cold water.
Went to mastihari on the moped for a day lovely beach less windy and its slightly warmer.
Bel passo is ideally situated just off the main road but within easy walking distance of shops bars and beach.
The thing i really liked is that the family totally left you alone and didn,t hassle you trying to clean the room evry morning.
We had change of towels and sheets twice a week which was plenty and you never feel obliged to get out your room early.
Usual basic greek apt with separate kitchenette had a few power cuts and no water on a couple of occasions but hey who needs to wash you,re on holiday!!!
We headed out of kefalos and went to paradise beach but the sunbeds were so crammed in together and they charged 7euros!
So the next day we drove just a bit further on and found sunny beach..heaven!
Dead quiet with just a few sunbeds and only 5euros
Only thing was the moped we hired from katerinas in kefalos was so crap it wouldnt get back up the steep cliff with a passenger so i ended up walking while my boyfriend wheelied on up!
Oh yeah thanks to the nice couple that felt sorry for me and gave me a lift one day in their nice air conditioned car!
Only thing i would say about sunny beach is there is not really anywhere to nip for a drink so take supplies.
Didnt think much to the cocktails in this bar ok if you dont like to taste the alcohol and at 4euros we didnt go back twice
You can get a stronger drink in england for less than that!
Although the english waitress in there was lovely i,m guessing her name was Rose?
Perfect for a pre dinner cocktail, plenty of tia maria in the black russian! And at 3euros the cocktails were the cheapest we found, nice friendly staff too.
Probably the liveliest bar in kefalos music a bit dodgy but you,d be hard pushed to find a bar with a decent dj anywhere in greece i reckon!
Beware of the free shots they seemed to have an influx of sambucca (spelling?) when we were there yuk!
Ate here a couple of times, they have an asian menu as well as trad greek food but as we eat enough indian and chinese food at home we thought we,d stick to the greek and the curries were way overpriced.
All food presented lovely best out of all the restaurants we tried
and service was excellent with friendly staff.
The place was always busy.
We rode down the well steep cliff cos the beach looked lovely, tiny little bay wiv a handful of sunbeds but there were no cushions on them so we carried on to sunny beach.
