we totally loved kos, but had problems with the attitude of the staff in these apartments. my fiance and i have never had trouble on holiday before but these people seemed hell bent on ruining our holiday. we were eventually forced to move hotels and are currently locked in a battle with olympic for compensation. good luck to anyone booked into these apartments, youll need it!!
we thought that the bar itself lacked atmosphere and the drinks were very expensive. for the money we paid, you would be better finding a traditional greek taverna nad getting drunk twice as fast!!!
this bar gave you free ribena shots with every drink. the bar was tiny, the staff were average and to be honest we felt a bit cramped.
the only complaint we had about this is that its very commercial. it was 7euros for 2 sunbeds, which is slightly over priced. the sea was lovely and the sand was lovely and clean.
tony and his wife were models of greek hospitality. we went there for a meal on our first day and we would not hesitate to go back again. the food is perfect and the staff are friendly and efficient.
our rep was ok, we had a bit of a problem and she was quite reluctant to help us because the apartment owners were her friends. it took two separate incidents before she would fill in a compalint form. the main problem with olympic is the poor standard of accomodation which they offer. we stayed in the angelos apartments and i would not let a dog sleep in them.
excellent sand, clear waters, a real wee suntrap. the only thing is that it is extremly commercial and you cant see the view for the parasols
yet another 2 satisfied customers from the katerina boat. we were very well looked after and had a fantastic day. it was excellent value for money and really does open your eyes to the remoteness of some of the islands and the way some people live. pserimos was like paradise on earth, and the coast of plati was stunning. i would definatly recomment this boat. however, i would advise against the marco polo, as the crew let us down at the last minute, cancelling the trip for the day.
this trip was out of this world. only thing is though, take sensible shoes, because the trip into the crater is a bit of a hike. the boat trip over was beautiful, and the bus driver did a fantastic job on the winding mountain roads. it was one of the most memorable days of our holiday, and there were plenty of children. we booked with the local greek travel agent in kos town and only paid 25 euros for the day, including ferry and bus to the volcano. niseros town itself is absolutly stunning!!we would recommend it for all ages!!
