Got back on the 11th - Best place I've been so far. Found the place expensive, but well worth it.
Nice views everywhere & the greeks are good people.
If you're thinking of excursions go to the local agents instead of the rip-off reps. And there are plenty of Gypo types selling flowers, balloones etc.
12pm music shut-off is annoying too, but not to far to find one of the clubs.
Reminded me of a cheap version of chicago Rock - very cheesy, but a good laugh all round.
Good starting point for a piss-up.
Watched the Macedonia v England game there & it was packed, with a superb atmosphere.
Cha cha gets annoying 2nd time around.
If you're thinking of doing this go with a local agent & not your rep. Our Rep charged us 36 euros, when we could have got it for 24.
I expected loads of food, but there wasn't that much - what we did get was really nice though. Free flowing wine, which is like Lambrini. They do sell bottled beers though.
I also ecpected to be amazed by the greek dancing etc - it wasn't that good & not even 1 plate smashed.
Reps were going on about this lovely sunset too, but our coach was late & we had to watch it out of the coach window.
Still enjoyed myself though - apart from the reps treating us like kids, giving us a password to get on the coach & going on about face painting etc.
Liked this trip alot. Well worth the money.
Volcano does stink, but you get used to it - whoever thought of putting a bar next to a volcano is a brave guy.
The small town was peaceful & good views etc.
Got the 4 euro return bus. Had a good walk round, went for a walk round the old castle & then the shops. A nice place to go.
It wasnn't planned, but ended up to be a really good day out - I found the castle interesting with good views etc too.
