Just come back, lovely holiday. Really peaceful and enjoyable. The pool is good for kids with lots of sun beds however the cushions cost 2 euros a day so we brought linos from the shop for 2.80 euros! It's about 2km from the centre of Tigaki however it's a nice walk or you can catch the hourly bus from just outside the apartments for 90cents. We paid for a late check-out room and it cost 30 euros. There's a little supermarket at the hotel and the price were really good (about the same as in the village). The rooms were nice and clean, the food at the hotel was very good (if you can't be bothered to go into Tigaki). Lovely weather, didn't see a cloud for 2 weeks!
We had to stay here one night because our fligth was delayed (34 Hours!) We arrived at about 2 am. It took they ages to allocate the rooms and them with the kids in tow we had to walk about 200 years to the accommodation block and carry all our luggage up the flight of about 25 steps to the room. It was very hot air con not working. The breakfast in the morning was terrible with very little choice for the British palate. If you like cake, doughnuts, cheese or hard boiled eggs fine. I would hate any one to go here for 2 weeks as the food looked awlful. The power kept going off and that ment the lifts don't work, you could use the toilets in the hotel because it was too dark. It had a Thomson Kids club and I don't know how you would cope for ant lenght of time?
We had to stay here one night because our flight was delayed. It's quite near the beach. The food was lovely but very rich. The room was very dated and few of the fittings were broken eg the bathroom sink had a large crack and the drain in the bathroom floor was missing (very dangerous).
The holiday in the Irina Beach Hotel in Tingaki with our rep Sarah was really wonderful however it all went wrong on the trip home. The flight on Saturday 14th August to Gatwick was delayed because of fog (Kos Airport is the only Greek island with no fog lights!). The flight was diverted to Rhodes where the pilot ran out of flight time before the fog had cleared. We had to go to another hotel overnight. The next day we arrived back at the airport, at 3pm the flight landed. It then sat there, nothing happen our flight was called to gate but we weren't allowed on the buses. The reps had disappered, they had all deserted us thinking the flight was on it's why back to Gatwick. We sat there for 5 hours with no reps, they didn't know we were there! eventually someone on their mobile phone managed to contact a rep and they all reappeared together at about 7pm. We had been given no food since breakfast! The plane had gone tech and a part had to be flown from Gatwick to repair it. the reps then arranged for us all to stay in another hotel for another night. We finally got home at 2pm on Monday afternoon. I can never forgive Airtours for deserting us on Saturday afternoon for 5 hours. Sobeware 200 passengers are now sueing Airtours.
