Looked for this place. Was looking forward to trying it but was closed by second week in October. :-(
Visited this place twice whilst in Tingaki. Was really good food and attention from the staff was excellent. The first time myself and my friend had the chicken and pork Bekre Meze. It was in a quite spicy sauce but very nice. You could have it with roast poatoes and veg instead of chips. Fabulous. The second time my friend had the chicken Bekre Meze, having had the pork the first time. I had the kleftico which was wonderful. The lamb was gr8t. Am always worried when having lamb because it can be very fatty. Not this one though, it just fell to pieces. Will go back when I visit Kos again. Highly reccomend it.
We ate here once and agree with comments on style. Very posh. (Although there were the brits with the obligitory shorts, football tops and trainers. With wives or girlfriends that had made an effort to dress up.) They were very busy and we did have to wait a while but they were very apologetic about it an said it was becaues they were short staffed. (students had gone back to uni) The food was well worth waiting for though. We had Nasi Goreng, Indonessian not Greek. We had eaten Greek nearly all our time there though, as we usually do. It was chicken done in a peanut sauce, very rich, with special rice, which was fantastic. More than worth a visit.
Good night. Enjoyed it but not the best Greek night I have ever been to. That was in Crete, where there was lots of dancers, not just four. Worth it if you've never been to one tho. If your ever in Crete, don't miss that one.
This one comes under bars but it is a restaurant also. We ate here twice. Once at lunch time, a group of us went and then the next week just myself and a friend. The waiter recognised us the second time and asked where the others were. The food and service was great. This place is opposite the boats in the harbour. I think it's the Posiden that is directly across the road. Well worth a visit.
Not as bad as some of the other comments would have you believe. Wouldn't like to be there in July or August though. However, We found the toilets to be clean and although there was a lot of queing, (what airport don't you have to que in?) but the reps that were present had a system and it seemed to work. A few people moaned but you always get some that can't be satisfied, what ever you do. If you don't want to be in a small island airport, don't go to small Greek islands. Simple.
Went to try to book the Katerina. Was really looking forward to it. We waited until the second week of our hols, which was the end of the 1st week in October. Unfortunatley this boat had fininshed the day b4 and had headed off for the winter. So if you want to do this trip make sure it's by the 1st week in October, or you will be like me, very dissapointed.
Spent 2 wks here end of Sept. Gr8 place. Paul (Apostilis) is a fabulous host. Very funny and entertaining. You could go here alone but not feel out of place. Just sit at the bar and chat to who ever is about. Very friendly place. If no one else wanted to go on holiday and I did, I wouldn't hesitate in going here. A little bit out of the centre of Tingaki but the bus stop is just out side of apartments. Only a few euros and going into Kos town also. Would reccommend this place to anyone. YAMAS
Don't think you would dissapointed with this place Irenka, or Spyros Taverna, across the road. These 2 places are located on the main road through Tingaki, towards the beach end. Both really nice places. I think it does depend on the time of year you visit. If it is in July or August there are many more people there so more for them to get served. Hope you have a good time. I loved Kos. My favourite Greek Island, so far.
