Rio Bar was the best bar in Kardamena, the staff were excellent, and the people we met in the bar were excellent and the DJ well what can I say...... FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everytime me and my husband walked past we got hassled to go in........ one day we decided to give in and go in, and well we were so glad we did we ended up going there the following night again plus two further nights.
Fantastic..........
This was our first year in kardamena, from some of the stories we heard this was a great apartment compared to some of the others..............
We went for the first two weeks of June this year, it was busy but from what everyone says not as busy as it gets. We noticed it getting busier on our last couple of days!!!!
Zia was lovely, our friends hired a car so went during the day / early evening, it is well worth a visit some fantastic views, I would save you shopping for when you go there as some things are a lot cheaper than the towns (i.e olive oils, soaps, rugs, football shirts etc).
We were worried there wouldn't be many places to exchange travellers cheques.... well we were plesantly suprised as on our way to the square there were three places to chose from and because we had euro travellers cheques it didn't matter what the exchange rate was anyway - they charged us 1 euro for a 50 euro cheque or 2 euros for a 100 euro cheque..... quite reasonable we thought, and a lot safer than taking cash.
Brilliant - this was new this year, our friends hired a car and we spent the whole day there, (excersions to the waterparks are going to the old waterpark in Kos town), but we more or less had the whole place to ourselves, as it hasn't yet been advertised yet. There was no waiting so straight on the slides and food was great and cheap!!! everywhere was very clean.
