we had a family holiday at the stella apts in may/june 2004 there were basic but clean, the only problem we had was no hot water for a shower even in the afternoon and by the evening no water at all, spoke to the owner and she got a old greek guy to try and sort the problem out but to no avail, as for location could not be bettered not much noise in the evening, get the water sorted out and we would consider going again in the future
please can anyone tell me which holiday operator uses these apartments, been to these before but cannot find them in any brochure at my local travel agent
tigaki is lovely but unfortunately when we went last year it was blowing a gale force wind that strong it was whipping up the sand it felt like you were being p***ked by thousands of needles stuck for about twenty minutes then packed up and moved on, go any other time and its great
went to old pyli last july, second time weve been so we knew what was there, well worth the trek up mountain side once at the top the views are fantastic,
Kardamena, brilliant place, first started going there in 1995 relatively quiet then but over the years changed dramatically, sometimes not for the better, my kids were in their early teens when we first went and they loved it still say its the bee's knees. If I were to say to them all have lets have a family holiday they would say lets all go to kardamena now we have grandchildren and they've all been and yes you guessed it they love it too. I can honestly say we've only had one bad experience and that was when we took our twin grandaughters with us, we were having a drink at the Metro Bar one evening when a very large group of 18-30's came down bar street on a pub crawl there was absolute chaos quite a few bar owners told them to move on as trhey were driving regular drinkers away, that was only on one night all other nights were great. Anyone going to Kos I can thoroughly recommend Kardamena, missed this year but hopefully going next year
We have allways gone to Kos in June/July and its been brilliant, weather is allways hot and of course plenty of sunshine. After a long winter in the UK going to Kos makes you feel great especially Kardamena. We allways hire a 4x4 to get around the island and seen some great places, not all that keen on Kos town to much hustle and bustle but go to tigaki, kefalos, mastihari and pyli just shows you how beautiful the island is. We've made some good friends there over the years and its a shame we only see then once a year there. A message to all people thinking of going to Kardamena give it a try you will enjoy.
Like most of the other comments the food is extremely good, friendly service, we've been going to laikon since we first went to Kardamena in 1995, Nick is a great guy once asked our eldest daughter for a date but she very politely declined his offer, he then asked our younger daughter and she told him he was to old, he took it all in good faith, Getting back to the food the menu is small but all the food is very good and yes those pizzas are wonderful ,
