Marias is brightly lit, but excellent value for money. We were served by teenage lads and expected the service to reflect teen attitudes. We were very wrong. The service and food were excellent, and they also made time to keep the kids (4 & 8) happy. This would be my first stop for a meal if we went back!!!

Excellent food and service was great but sometimes greek (slow). If you have plenty of time this shouldn't be a problem. Run single handedly by a totally unflappable woman who we think was the owner. She was very pleasant and her chefs were a credit to her.

Quite basic but OK as a base. Kitchenette consists of one pan sized ring, one cup sized ring, kettle, fridge sink and cupboards. No luxuries. Poky toilet/shower room which gets VERY warm. Can be noisy at night with the worlds loudest crickets (outside of course!) dogs and scooters giving it max revs to get up the extremely steep hill up to the village. Very clean. Towels & bedding changed Wed & Sat. Do not go to Billy's Pool - millions of HUGE wasps. 'Swimming Pool For Public' next to Supermarket Athoylis was best. About 5 minutes to beach and town (20 mins with a lazy 4 year old).
