we first went to tingaki in sept 2005, unfortunatley we missed this little gem of a bar.

this year we went to 'margarita's' by accident. the sunset hotel (just across the road) where we met for drinks last year would not allow clients booked with olympic to either swim in their pool or be served at their bar, although fair's fair, if push came to shove i think it would have been possible. (we got the impression something was going on between olympic and a number of the local bars/apartment owners etc).

we were made very welcome by lefty... his wife and daughters and hopefully are now good friends, like most of his other customers who return year after year, some for as long as 15 - 20 years. the atmosphere is very relaxed, the music is of a greek and 60's/70's mix and not too loud. the prices are very fair and the food is good. we shall certainly go there when we return to kos in 2007.

yassoo lefy! have you got your donkies yet?

My Mother and Father in-law (marion and Bob) have known lefty since 1990 and have been to Kos 25 times.  Lefty and his family are a very close frineds of theirs and always get a great welcome and a few tears when they leave.  This is a great bar and a good place to meet people and they have made many friends there over the years.  Lefty is a very fiendly person and his prices are very cheap.  If you get to visit the lovely island of Kos then make sure you pay lefty a visit who will make you very welcome.

Missed out on this one until the second week when we went for a walk along the main road and came down into Tingaki. The owner and his wife were both very friendly and he especially always had a chat.Had some really good music(To me) which he would put on when we arrived-it was near the end of the season and usually we were the only ones there mid afternoon.Made very good omlettes and toasted sandwiches and the beer was the cheapest around.

We have just returned from Tingaki 26th June 2005, We found this bar the first evening there and were made very welcome by Lefty and his wife. He is a great bloke and a good laugh. Between him and his wife they make great food, the drinks were cheap and always a free shot at the end of the night. He makes everyone who goes in the bar very welcome. We made many new friends in this small cafe bar and will be returning again next year. We can highly recommend it to anyone who has never been in there the Margarita is situated very close to Constantines supermarket. I promised Lefty I was gonna add my comments on here so if you go in say Hi from Linda and Roger from Newcastle.
