David Taverna

Restaurants in Mastihari

Graham M

David has closed the taverna and now works at the KARDIA on the front, shame the food was good and the service made it a great place to eat. We will miss his breakfasts and Mary's smile.

Hi

We went to Mastihari last year and loved it and have booked again to go this year, cannot remember this place but it sounds great, can anyone tell me where abouts it is? we are staying at the Kristina.

That was, of course, BURGER and hot dog.

Sorry, finger trouble.

This seems to be called Chris and Mary's, with David Taverna on a board below - new owners?     My wife and I took note of Aileen's advice and went for the peppered steak.  Good choice. The girls were a bit more English with bugger and hot dog but everything disappeared. We ended up fighting over who was going to dunk in my sauce.

As has been said, it isn't in the best location and it was often fairly empty.  It's a shame as the food is excellent and the host is very good.

I wish him all the best for the future.

This is one of the best places to eat. Although the view is not great if you like people watching a taste of real greece then this is the place. The food is freshly cooked and the peppered steak to die for. The rabbit stifado is the best meal I have ever had. The locals dont get david to cook their meals for them for nothing!

This taverna is set back from the beach on the right hand fork of the main road (the Aplo bar is just round the corner). It hasn't got a particularly nice outlook, being on the road, but we went on recommendation from this site. The owner was very welcoming. We had a delicious meal. The saganaki was wonderful, and the souvlakis were also very tasty. They also do a takeaway service.
