Angela Aparthotel - (Accommodation in Tingaki)

Andrew S

Just returned from two weeks in the Angela booking via Olympic Holidays. The room I had at Angela Apartments was more than usually spacious for this type of Greek accommodation and in a good state of repair. Nice touches were satellite TV, aircon (5 Euros per day extra, I didn't need it at the end of August), shower curtain, flyscreen, substantional safety deposit box (20 Euros for two weeks - not as much of a ripoff as other places we have stayed) and electric kettle.

Like others I found buying your own loo rolls a bit cheeky, but at least there was a notice warning you about this (rather than finding out when you reach for the spare that isn't there).

The pool bar, the family-owned taverna opposite and the family-owned supermarket next door were all a bit pricey, but I found both Nikki and Tracey helpful and friendly. The pool itself was not very good - small and water a bit murky, with limited lounger space and right by the main road (there was a screen but this cut out the breeze). I went to the excellent town beach most days.

Generally being on the main road was an advantage. The apartments are mainly at the back and most of the bars and tavernas are close by. The bus stop for Kos Town is 1 minute away and the beach is ten minutes away. (Some of the other Olympic accommodation was well out of town.)

Olympic's excursions were overpriced. Like others I found the excellent English-staffed Theokratis Travel helpful, efficient and much better value.

Olympic Holidays - (Tour Operators on Kos)

Very good and efficient service as always. Our rep Kerry was helpful and well informed.

Olympic's tours were overpriced. We found the English-staffed Theokratis Travel (in the main street) helpful, efficient and much better value for money.
