once you get to this beach you are stuck there, as we found out!!! as the bus only travels back twice a day once at about 4.00pm and then again at about 6.00pm. If you plan to go here make sure you are well equipped with the basic survival package. there is only one small beach bar which is quite expensive. also they charge for the use of sunbeds We recomend that you dont take small children as if they become board there is no where to go with them. My advice if you do go to paradise beach make sure you take food, drink and something to do e.g books buket and spade, because once your there there is no way to escape!!! and dont miss the last bus!
Dont go with the travel companies as they are much more expensive than if you go to the harbour and go on one of the boats there that do this excursion. i went on this trip last time i visited kos and i was really excited because they had told us that it was a really great place for shopping eatting etc. what i found when i got there was a different story. i found the place to be dirty and smelly, the people are extremly pushy to get you to eat or drink in there resturants or bars, sometimes actually physiclly pulling you! the shops is nothing more than a gloryfied market stalls which say they sell designer clothes ( well i dont think any designer would make clothes that looked like this!) they just get normal t shirts for example and put a designers name on the front, i just found it all really tacky. the eating establishments, if you can call them that are a health hazard, i wouldn't let my dog eat there!! i looked forward to this trip all holiday and was sadly disapointed. if you do decide to take you life into yur hands and vist turkey make sure you take turkish currency.
there is not really alot to do on the island for young children, there is a water park, and lots of beaches. as you are not staying in a hotel wih entertainment i suggest that when you go you take some activities for them to do eg. colouring, toys, games and books. you can hire bikes as that is how most people get around in kos and it is safe because they have special cycle paths. i hope i haven't put you off going on you holiday because it is a beautiful place to go . i hope this is a help to you Rosie Joines.
