a lovely sandy beach with clear blue water, brilliant for kids, lots of watersports going on all reasonably priced, try the flying fish and the paragliding. sunloungers x 2 and a parasoul cost 7 euros per day, take food with you and drinks though as not many available. a brilliant full day out for all the family
a lovely village, very pituresque and typically greek. unfortunately the sunset cant always be relied on and on the evening we went it never materialised. would not advising booking with reps for this reason, however good gift shops and nice restaurants
have just returned from kos where we stayed at the irina beach apts. was excellent, clean tidy and very welcoming. the pool was brilliant for the children and the beach although a bit rocky is directly behind the pool, brilliant. very impressed with it all. it is a bit of a walk into tigaki from the apts but the bus and taxis are always available
we visited turkey on a tuesday which is the proper market day, make sure you get amap when you get off the ferry as the open air market can be difficult to find. we didnt book with a rep we did it ourselfs and saved a lot of money. on an evening all the boats line up in kos harbour and you pick which one you want to go with, we went with one call kostakis, it took 35 minutes leaving at 9 and cost us 55 euros for 2 adults and 2 children. bartering in turkey is brill, dont be afraid to barter that is what they expect and dont give into their prices, have a figure in your head and stick to it they will always accept it. buy duty free cigarettes in turkey, very cheap
a lovely place, good for buying little gifts and lots of lovely restaurants.good for children, all in all ahd a brill holiday and would recommend it
