Basic clean accommodation. Maria the owner lives in a bungalow behind and is very pleasant. Excellent views and close to beach and shops. Bit of a trek to busier harbour end of bay however. Would recommend it for people looking for a quiet beach holiday with cheap eating out nearby.
Gerry Dickson needed to know the location. Driving INTO Kamari Bay look out for Agios Stefanos Restaurant on left. Turn next RIGHT up a rough track (Manolis Rentacar on corner). Its straight up the track about 300m. The owner, Maria lives in the little bungalow behind the studios.
Our favourite restaurant (mind you, it;'s hard to find a bad one). Right on the beach, with a beach bar and a more formal restaurant for evenings. Had several meals there but on the last night I had swordfish which was cooked to perfection. All staff very friendly. Big collie dog lives there. He's gorgeous. Also cheapest (but not best) English Breakfast I found.
Found this on my first morning, Sunday) and although it was only 7.30am (damn night flights)David and his wife had just opened and welcomed me in with coffee and even lent me cigarettes until the supermarket opened. Best English Breakfast by a country kilometer.
Excellent Meal - top marks for the Kleftiko (baked in tin foil). Melted in the mouth. Excellent service. Great location overlooking beach.
For 35 euros including transport and I presume hefty reps commission, we expected the best. Well the dancing and music was fantastic and infectious, and the location superb, but the food to us was a great disappointment. We expected a full Meze, but although it started OK with appetizers, we then got a single kebab each with some rice. No chops, no stifado, no kleftiko. If you're a big, easily pleased plonkaholic then its probably better value than we found it.
