The resort is really peaceful and easy going and as our rep put it full of Greek maybe time. Must also before Igo reccomend a Greek gyros from the hotel Kordistos beach restuarent only 170 euro homemade fantastic. Looking to go back.

Jacks Apartments - (Accommodation in Kefalos)

Philip H

We have just returned from Jacks and we will never return to these apartments again. The apartment stunk of sewage and when we mentioned it all they said was leave the window open!!We are not moaners usually and have visited greece many times Kefalos twice,so we are used to the Greek way of doing things and we will get on with it,However we had to buy Bleach and aerosole to make the apartments fit to live in. As I said we could have asked to be moved but thought we could cope with it.But It would have been nice If the owners would have taken more Interest. That was the problem It was coming to the end of the season they were not Interested. We did find an occupant who liked staying there....a scorpion in the bathroom were we left the window open because of the stink.  The resort and Island are lovely we stayed at the KoKo Irene the year before and these are simple apartments and clean plus your towels are changed every 2  days. In Summary The Jacks apartments have so much potential.in the right hands.

Kefalos - (Resorts on Kos)

Hi there it might be an idea to take her to the Theologist taverner at the end of the island otherwise known as the sunset taverner, Its best to go an hour before sunset so you can have a meal and a wine and watch it set, You will have hire a car to get there, You go up through the old town and follow the road west until you get to the coast at that side of the island, We discovered it by accident and have been back everytime we visit kefalos,Its usually not very busy and all the tables have a wonderful view,Personally I think is better than watching set at Zia,No crowds,Hope to visit it ourselves in a couple of weeks,Hope this helps.

Just to add If you have seen the film Shirley Valantine She sits at a taverner watching the sunset in the film. The Theologist Taverner has the same atmosphere !!!
