Lydia I II and III - (Accommodation in Kardamena)

L D

Myself and my friend Kerry have just returned from staying at Lydia II. We were in room 301 which is the room on the roof!! You have the whole roof terrace to yourself.
We read the reviews before going to Kardamena, and were a bit worried about the security aspect, but common sense tells you to lock up, not necessarily leave your money / passport etc lying around. Everything was fine.
The room is basic, but it's enough for self catering requirements.
The pool area is good, and the owners are very nice and friendly.
The location is excellent for the beach / getting to the supermarket / shops.
The bakery and fruit supermarket were just down the road.
The cleaner came at least twice during the week, and the linen and towels were changed once during the week.

Would be happy to stay at these apartments again if we were to return to Kardamena.

Thomas Cook - (Tour Operators on Kos)

L D  (10 September 2004)

The rep (Mark) was ok - he came to our apartments (Lydia) regularly.
The only thing we would say is the shopping trip to Kos Town - there should be a little warning as the coach goes up the mountain, and part of the road has no barriers. A bit scary.
If your not too good with heights, then maybe keep your eyes shut, or just query the route the coach takes on the way to Kos Town.

Everything was fine with the rep, and Mark didn't hassle us into doing things with them if we didn't want to.

Trip to Kos Town - (Kos Excursions)

L D

The only thing we would say is the shopping trip to Kos Town - there should be a little warning as the coach goes up the mountain, and part of the road has no barriers. A bit scary. Our coach went silent when the coach was working slowly up the mountain road.
If your not too good with heights, then maybe keep your eyes shut, or just query the route the coach takes on the way to Kos Town.
14 euros each for the coach - the streets and shops are very nice.
Excellent place if you love jewellery.
