We got five quotes for a Suzuki Vitara, and M.L. were easily the cheapest, and they were prepared to do us a deal for an extended booking. The service is reallly friendly and very efficient, and we were able to take the car back for cleaning whenever we wanted to.
Touring round the island in an open Jeep was a new experience for us, and we'd never go back to air con again!!
This is a first class hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit Kos. As someone else said on the site, it is easily the best hotel in the area. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming, and the facilities are excellent, although possibly a little limited for teenagers. Nice touches include complimentary melon served around the pool, and tea and cake in the afternoon.
It's within easy walking distance of local bars and tavernas, but the but to Kos town stops right outside and takes about five minutes. A taxi into town cost 6 euros, and the receptionist will call one for you, arriving in minutes.
There is a very clear view of the Turkish coast form the hotel (which feels as if its only about ten miles away, as you can see the houses), and there is a beach on the opposite side of the road.
For footie fans, the bar waiter - Vassilis aka Bill ( a real Eric Cantona lookalike and Man U. fan) will keep you updated on all the scores from home!
We had an excellent holiday and would return again.
The sunset is not to be missed - a truly spectacular and moving sight.
We visited Zia three times during our two weeks. The Greek night excursion fills the place up for a short while most evenings up to around 8 o'clock, which spoils the atmosphere a bit. If you arrive at around 8 the place starts to get a bit quieter and you can get a real feel for the place. The restaurant first on the right as you enter the village is excellent, and very cheap. Its favoured by greek people as we visited on a Saturday evening and it felt like everyone was greek ther except us. It has stunning views over the north side of the island too ( go to the highest terrace).
Highly recommended!!
