we started of in ultramarine and we finished up there the full seven days/nights (may 08) we stayed in kardemena, the bar staff are sooooo funny especially dec and kerry's animal impression obviously pat's p***y cat was the funniest, dec's cocktails are the best every one a total secret to what he puts in them (because he can't remember). still trying to remember the first 3 nights of visiting these crazy people - the dj is fantastic although each of the bar staff have there own unique qualities - i absolutely love them all - i hope we get back there this year.
Top appartments, top pool, top people, you really can't go wrong with this place - out of the way but not to far to Bar Street and a lovely beach accross the way. Basic but cleanest place have ever stayed in, the kitchen had everything you needed (although never used). Room was small but enough not to loose anything and a fantastic view of Banana Beach, really can't fault it - we were a bit rowdy one night and we did have a telling off from Phillipos but it was deserved - Sorry for that , would definately stay there again - the pool is also really good value and if yo stay at Phillipos appartments you get 10% of your food bill. Look forward to seeing you soon. Thanks for a great week. (May 08).
We had heard that Nemos was a good place to eat but was definately suprised at the quality of the food and the service, Mike and his wife and Rab were brilliant they treated us like royalty the whole week - so how glad were we that we found Nemos' on our first night we ate there every day for at least one meal - there was one other place that could compare but we loved the staff - and they loved any one that ate in the restaurant - It was by far the best place on the harbour, you could'nt get a better view whilst dining. Try the Jack daniels steak it is spot on - as was anything we tried on the menu - my fella liked the fish said it was the best he had tried on any holiday he has been on, the portions were huge and the quality was excellent - have recommended this place to a few people that I know are going to Kos in the future.
We went last week of May 08 and we did not have one bad day - it was lovely to walk around in although it did get really hot some afternoons - I came back with a great tan so I am not complaining!!!
Went to Paradise for breakfast a few times the staff are helpful and friendly, the food was brilliant and plenty of it, found it really cheap but I think there was a lot of competition for tourists cause the breakfast was cheaper than advertized in the menu - but not complaining (May 08), if you ate here you also got to use the sun loungers for free and the staff waited on you whilst on the beach - which was brilliant you really did'nt have to move all day.
We found this place on our last night, totally gutted we didn't find it earlier, there was about 10 of us that went with the owners of The Gumtree pub, we ordered the meze for all of us and was absolutely amazed at how much kept coming out of the kitchen - the bill was really good as well - for about two hours we were there including drinks, food and a 3euro tip it cost us 15euro each. There is no listing for The Gumtree Pub which definately deserves a mention wish we had found this place at the begining of our holiday as well, good, friendly staff, and happy hour always a bonus!! Would rate it 10 out of 10 as well!
We went again to Nemos this year in June, although the food is still excellent and the staff very friendly it was missing something from the year before - MIKE!! But all was not lost we found him a short walk down at Pelagos (not listed on here), where he is still serving excellent food with a smile and great banter!! See you all next year
