My daughters have always had a great time in Tingaki. This year 5 of us stayed at the Marianna .My daughter insisted that we went there so we booked early..Before Christmas! The place is very well run and the old chap keeps a close eye on things.Nice swimming pool, the area is swept/moped every day(except Sunday). The rooms are kept clean and there are various screens/doors to keep out most of the mosquitoes. The daughers Maria/Stella do most of the looking after people bit.Stella will cook you simple and cheap food for lunch..mostly English type stuff.Best food..Mediterranee
Four of us (adults)+ a 6 year old stayed at these studios in July 2003.Are they suitable for young children...Yes.There is a small circular pool as well as the main pool.If other children are there they soon make friends. The apartments and the pool area are kept very clean. The old chap (Dad) keeps an eye on things and asks his daugthers to say something if a child may have a problem...eg..unable to swim ,but on lilo in the deep end of the pool. The daughters speak very good English and will help with any problems.I would recommend staying at this place to anyone.Quite a number of my family have stayed there and would do so again.
We stayed in Tingaki;when we went to Kos it was the only place my daughter would go to as it is an extremely pleasant place to sit and have a drink. It may sound a bit basic but the toilets are clean and well looked after. An important factor if you have kids with you and the people who ran it/worked there were good with the children.
I did this before,but... We,that is 5 of us went to this excellent restaurant a few times. It may be slightly more expensive than others ,but it is well worth it .The tables are well laid out with cloth napkins! The people who run it are very friendly and the whole family ,including grandad are willing to gossip with the visitors. If you do go here ask for the house red wine...it is some of the finest I have ever tasted. If you do have some ,do me a favour and find out what it is,but I would not be surprised if they made it themselves.
