The archaeological sites are all stunning. Free parking all day across the road from western site (fab mosaics and ruins of baths) and ancient theatre. Casa Romana closed until end of 2006 for further work funded by EEC. 

My husband and myself stayed in the Kalonisa apartments in August 2006; we would certainly book there again.  As is usual in holiday apartments the kitchen equipment is minimal - we did buy a kettle locally and couldn't believe the low prices in Kefalos old village(up the hill). The apartment was absolutely spotless, beach 2 minutes walk, location quiet and locals very friendly.  We had excellent meals everywhere we went in Kefalos and were spoilt for choice.
