Fish House - (Restaurants in Kos Town)

Marie S

This was one of our favourite restaurants for fish in Kos Town.  As you walk along the harbour with the wooden boats and cross over to where the square is with restaurants you will see on the right hand side some cobbled stairs which lead up to the blue and white restaurant.  You know a good restaurant when they dont need to tout you to come in!

Id definately recommend the fish pot!

Dont miss this one if you are a fish lover!

Olive - (Restaurants in Kos Town)

Marie S

Nice restaurant with good food, but slightly pricier than others for the portion sizes.  Good place to go if you'd like to try lots of little different dishes.

Italian Garden Restaurant - (Restaurants in Kos Town)

Marie S

Also known as Otto e Mezzo.  Went back here twice as it was so good!  The food is all home cooked and the fresh pizzas are huge!!!  I'd definately recommend asking to be seated in the garden at the back which has a lovely atmosphere compared to the hustle and bustle of the street at the front.

Milos - (Restaurants in Kos Town)

Marie S

To find Milos:  Coming from Lambi towards Kos Town, take the road on the left before the road for the main Lambi beach (it has a small blue sign on the corner for Milos Beach Cafe).  Follow the  road down and you cant miss it on the left).

It is tucked away from the main tourist beach and I would describe at as the young locals hidden secret!  A very funky beach bar!  You know that if you are anyone it is the place to be seen, as the entrance has a full length mirror as you walk in!:o).  We chanced apon it during the day and found ourselves to be the only foreigners there among the young and beautiful!  Its the place to be if you have a pair of heels and a bikini!

It is set in front of a mill and has 3 bars shaded by white parasols and sailing sheets, on dark wooden decking. Walk down to the beach passed the sand football pitch - where the local teams play and the sand tennis court.

If you want to get away from it all, relax and be trendy, this place is perfect!

Pelagos Suites Hotel - (Accommodation in Lambi)

Marie S

Just got back from 2 weeks at the Pelagos and had a fantastic time!  We were in self catering (yes we had a kettle!) and had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool.  The hotel was one of the cleanest Ive ever been to and the staff very helpful (just watch out for vasilis the bar man - see through the charm - likes to humiliate his staff in front of customers and not someone you'd want as an enemy).

Get out early for those sunbeds...and dont get too close to the pool as the water polo games in the afternoon will not leave you dry!

We found the walk into town took as 45 mins at a good pace, so I wouldnt recommend walking it in high heels!  We ended up hiring a bicycle for 3 euros a day and cycling into town every night.

As a fitness fanatic I have to say the gym was not a gym.  It was a small room covered in mirrors to give the look of a huge gym...but only had 2 old exercise bicycles that made a sound like they were going to explode, one old running machine, a kind of step machine that you would by for £15 from argos, one of those multi-gym resistance machines only one person can use that you cannot get full extension on and the cables would snap under any heavy weight...and oh 2 sets of dumbells - the heaviest being 2.5kg.  Not to mention no working air con.  But i suppose you are on holiday and all...but if you are planning to continue training - you have been warned!!!

Everything else was perfect!
