I checked out the info on this website before going on holiday to Tingaki. As the Meni seemed to have favourable reports my partner and I decided it was a must for us. How disappointed were we, VERY. The service was okay, the price reasonable, the food was terrible. As a vegetarian the Greek food is usually very good for me, I ordered the stuffed tomatoes they were tastless, the veg that came with them had been cooked to death. When asked if my food was alright I told the waitress I was not happy she then tried to tell me that because it was a vegetarian dish. My partner had the stuffed tomatoes with meat in them but he couldn't really find any meat. This is the one eating place that we both decided we would not return to.
We visited the Scala three times in our one weeks holiday. Making it our favourite the service was excellent, the food and price too. The house dry white wine was served nice and chilled not like in some restaurants we visited. The tables outside over looking the sea are lovely particularly at lunchtime. We do not normally eat lunch but one day decided to share a tuna salad which also was tasty and well presented.
My partner and I both agree these are some of the best apartments we have stayed in. We have both travelled the Greek Islands fairly extensively and these far outweigh anything we have booked previously. The maid service is second to none 6 days a week with towels and linen being changed every couple of days. Staff at the Miros are very friendly and we felt at home straight away. Being beach people we only spent one day by the pool, but this was also kept nice and clean and the pool bar which is run by a nice english ladyTeresa was welcoming. If we decide to return to Kos in the future we would certainly not hesitate in booking these apartments again. The location is only minutes from the beach and about a 10 minute walk to the nearest supermaarket.
