Kovotis - (Bars in Tingaki)

Viki H

Hello Spiros, Theo, Costa and Bill  (Hope you are reading this)

Unfortunately we have been back in the UK for a few days after two fanatastic weeks in Tingaki. Kivitos bar (or 'give a toss' as we liked to call it ) became our local during our stay. After the second night we moved from the comfy chairs and made ourselves a permanent feature at the bar (closer to the drinks and entertainment from Bill and Theo.) There was an endless choice of drinks and we even had our fave cocktail (a flirtini) made especially for us. The atmosphere in the bar is very friendly with a warm welcome for everyone, 100% hospitality as the illuminous green poster says ( we think, as we were drunk when we read it!) The DJ could do with some new CDs but Bills singing made up for it, and we actually became partial to the Greek Eurovision winner "You're my lover, undercover ..."!!

We recommend anyone to go to this bar.
Viki & Louise (p.s, if you are reading this say Hi to Takkis and Cristos. Bill- i think the glass you are looking for is the one right at the bottom of the freezer!! Maybe see you next year xx)

Sunset Aparthotel - (Accommodation in Tingaki)

Viki H

We actually stayed at the Ariadne apartments behind the hotel but has use of the pool. The pool are was nice and despite going in peak season we never had a problem getting a sunbed. Pool bar did a range of food and drink at reasonable prices with great service from Yianni. Try the chocolate milkshake!!

We borrowed someone's room on the last day and it was very clean. -Thanks Michelle if you ever happen to read this!!
Ideal for families even with small children.
However, it seems that this hotel is the first one as you drive into the resort and therefore furthest from the beach (1km)
The First Choice Rep Jakki was excellent and will help anyone even if you have not travelled with FC.

Tingaki Resort - (Resorts on Kos)

Viki H

Just got back from our holiday in Tingaki and really enjoyed it. Accomodation is typically Greek - basic no frills but generally clean. We stayed in the Ariadne Apts, which were bright and spacious, quite clean but maid didnt come everyday.  She looked about 80 years old so it is probably a difficult job for her to get round!! Use of the Sunset pool was great.

We expected the resort to be quiet and were planning to go to Kos town. However, didnt bother as although it is no Faliraki, there were a nice selection of bars and they will stay open unitl you leave. Kivitos is definitely a must.
Andreas Taverna (up the top away from beach) very good food and value for money.
Vassilis(?) close to beach also very good with a selection of food, great service and value for money.
Mediteranee more expensive than others but lovely food, big portions and modern classy decor.

A resort suitable for families with lots of restaurants and (almost) everything being on one road. Supermarket is massive with everything you would need.
Met loads of people who go there every year.
Only down side was the mozzies, who seemed particularly vicious. Take repellant, cream and allergy tablets.
We would definitely recommend this resort and would go back again.
