Emiliana - (Accommodation in Kardamena)

Very basic but very clean apartments right on the beach.  A bit rocky in the sea right outside but move 500 yards west (away from the main drag) and there is an excellent beach area & lovely bars,  less crowded and cheaper sun beds.
Noise from a couple of groups of lads staying in other apartments in the block was occasionally a problem when they came back at 5am all wanting to fight each other but other groups you never heard anything from at all so it's the luck of the draw really.  We were a family of 4 with 2 boys under the age of 15. Plenty for all to do at reasonable cost.

Excellent food (large portions too), excellent value and great service. We ate here a few times, for a family of 4 with main meals & drinks the price was generally about €30.  Just away from the main drag so nice & quite.

Castle of the Knights of St John - (Places to Visit on Kos)

Nice for a visit but would have been better of your €3 entry had got you some info to go with it, how long has it been there ? what were various parts used for etc etc, other wise it was just another ruin

Zia Sunset - (Places to Visit on Kos)

Beautiful,  we visited when we hired a car one day and again for the Greek night at Fantasia.  Incredible views, nice shops & very reasonably priced.

The Old Olive Press - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Has now been renamed to the original Greek 'LIOTRINI'.  Owned & run by Yanni, very hospitable young man,  ably assited by Joanna the greek supermodel who is 'wicked'.
Superb setting, right on the Aegean sea front, sip your wine & have a meal or just a chat while you listen to the waves lapping on the beach.  Sun beds & parasols available during the day at cheaper prices than on the front.
Meals excellent & just a little different but the atmosphere & setting will captivate you.
