Kefalos - (Resorts on Kos)

Just booked for the Blue Lagoon village (new hotel) , In august 2011, looks fantastic and is expected to be finished in May 2011. Just curious about Kefalos as never been to Kos before. How far is kardemena or Kos town and are they worth a trip ? Any recommended excursions otherwise ? Thanks Kos experts xxx

Thanks for your information, would you arrange a taxi then up to Kos Town? Any idea on costs? What is the bus service like on this island? The boat trip sounds good too...
